NEW Skin Idea: Void Alistar.
Dear friends and former Rioters,
I am writing this thread to inform you guys about a new skin idea that I've come up with not too long ago. It relates to a particular champion that hasn't really had a new skin for quite some time now and that champion is none other than
himself. Some might agree that he definitely does deserve a new skin while others may disagree and feel that he doesn't. There are a variety of reasons out there as to why he does deserve this new Void skin but I have listed some of the major ones below.
First of all, let us take the time and effort to take a look at some of his lore.
was said to be the mightiest warrior ever. He defended his tribe from Valoran's many dangers such as the Noxian army. He then ended up getting lured by a particular man named Keiran Darkwill, the youngest son of General Boram Darkwill and the commander of the Noxian force. As soon as
returned to his village, he found his village burning and his family slain. He then bellowed with rage and charged an entire regiment of Noxus elites, killing hundreds. Despite all the massacre
had created, he was brought in chains to Noxus only to spend years and years as a gladiator in a place called the Fleshling, where he would be pitted in endless battle for the entertainment of Noxus' wealthy leaders. The lore then goes on to tell us that
's once noble soul slowly became twisted and that he would've been driven to insanity if it wasn't for a young servant girl named Ayelia, who befriended him and eventually arranged for his escape. Now, what we can interpret from all this lore is that,
basically was defending his tribe and he ended up getting tricked from this evil little man named Keiran. After he was tricked, he returned to his village only to find out everything was just left in ruins. He then wanted revenge so he pretty much just slaughtered an entire fleet of Noxian soldiers and as soon as that happened, he was somehow captured and brought to Noxus, only to serve many years as a gladiator just for the entertainment of Noxus' biggest leaders. This kind of thing obviously had a huge impact on
. It severely affected him mentally and if it continued to do so, it would've just drove him insane. Luckily though, there was that one girl, that one young servant girl who did eventually rescue him. But to be honest, when you first find out that
had become somewhat mentally ill, it just gives you that feeling that, what if
at the time was feeling very void-like? As in, what if he was feeling empty? What if he was feeling he was all by himself and that no one could help him? This is just the lore that we're interpreting all of this from, however, it's also one of the reasons as to why in
's life, he was at this point where he felt he was all on his own along with this void where he felt no one else could get into. So, having a Void skin for
truly helps us to remember and commemorate this one particular moment in
's life and it also helps us to remember the huge struggle
was going through and also how he managed to become free from it all right at the very end.
Secondly, let's look at the current champions that are already a part of the Void skin theme. We have Void
, Void
, Void
and many other champions that are ALSO a part of the skin theme but DON'T have an actual skin, such as
,
,
,
,
and
. Now you guys are probably wondering, why did I mention all these champions that are a part of this skin theme? Well, here's why. The High Noon skin theme has 3 champions who have the High Noon skin. On the other hand, the Bloon Moon skin theme has 8 champions with the Blood Moon skin. Now there are other skin themes that also have a number of champions that have a particular skin for each theme, HOWEVER, the Void skin theme only has 3 champions that have an actual skin. Granted, the
Void skin is a legacy skin that's no longer in the store for purchase but, the Void skin theme genuinely just has 3 champions with an actual skin and so does the High Noon skin theme. Now, going back to what was discussed right at the very end of the first paragraph of this thread, we discovered that
was said to have felt all on his own in this void. Would it not make sense for
to have a Void skin and be a part of the Void skin theme rather than have a High Noon skin and be a part of the High Noon skin theme? Because, it makes sense for him to have a Void skin right? He was at this particular "phase" shall we say, in his life, where he felt all alone and all by himself alongside with or even in this void. For
to have a High Noon would just, not make any reference whatsoever to his lore and it would just, not many any sense. So yeah, that's yet another reason as to why he should have this new Void skin.
Furthermore, let's look at another particular reason as to why
does deserve this whole new Void skin. If anything, Riot this entire time have been using the same old skin themes for whatever champion. Only just recently, Riot actually announced there are going to be 3 new PROJECT skins for 3 particular champions. One for
, one for
and one for
. Now, I'm going to be honest here, I do like the PROJECT skin theme. I think it has some pretty good skins within the skin theme itself. I think that PROJECT:
, PROJECT:
, PROJECT:
all look really good and all but, I just want to go back to talking about the 3 new ones in particular that y just announced recently. Okay so, the
skin, I don't really think there's really anything bad about that skin. I think it looks fine. However, I want to talk a bit about 2 of the other skins, PROJECT:
and PROJECT:
. Now the thing with PROJECT:
is that, there are 2 things that I don't really like about the skin. The skin in general looks really good but, there are just 2 things about it that, could've honestly been worked on a bit. The first is that, the backing animation is just, not really that good. Um, she just stands in one position for a few seconds and then changes to another position, only to do the same thing. I think that what Riot could've done to make her backing animation look a bit better as well as surprising is to, make it so that she actually performs some sort of a small stunt with her E, her little robot friend and maybe make it so that it explodes for a few seconds and then comes back together again when
reaches the fountain but, I'm not too sure. The second thing though I didn't really like about PROJECT:
after seeing her for the first time, is the animation of her ult. Now, when you compare both animations of her ult from the regular
skin and the PROJECT:
skin, you can see that, they both practically have the same kind of animation. It's just that, the animation of her ult from her PROJECT:
skin just has a bit of a glow added to it but other than that, they both literally have the same kind of ult animation. And it's weird because, you would honestly think the ult animation from PROJECT:
would be a lot more interesting to see. You know you would think that, there'd be a lot more to that ult animation. But there's isn't because, it's just the same kind of ult animation that just has a glow hanging off from it. Other than those 2 things though, I really think PROJECT:
is a really good skin overall. The animation of her passive, her Q, her W, her E all look really really good. And her dance animation though, oh my God, her dance animation just looks so funky and I honestly like it a lot so, yeah. I wanted to also talk about
's new skin, about what I like and don't like about it but, I've honestly said quite a lot about
's skin so I won't really dive straight in about, you know,
. I guess what I was trying to say is, Riot need to either introduce new skins from a skin theme that hasn't really had actual skins in, to champions that actually fit with them. If not that then, they honestly really need to introduce a completely new skin theme because if anything, a lot of players are actually starting to get a bit tired of the same skin themes being "milked" and also the fact that, a lot of the new skins that are being introduced from the same old skin themes, are being introduced for champions that don't really fit with those themes whatsoever. Because I mean, come on, PROJECT:
? I really don't want to say much about that new skin of hers but, I'm going to be quite honest here, even her default skin looks a lot better than her new skin and that's just saying something.
In conclusion, that's about it. Those are the 3 major reasons as to why
does honestly deserve this new Void skin. If you enjoyed taking the time and effort to read this entire thread, feel free to let me know what you think about this thread and the actual skin idea itself. You can also let me know about what could be improved on regarding this thread as well as the skin idea itself because, if anything, I'm always open to feedback as it does help me to improve in certain areas. Thank you once again though to those who took the time to read all of this and hopefully Riot actually do take all of this under thorough and well, hopefully they do release a new skin for
:)
