Alistar Buffs.

Hi there,

So I've been wondering for quite some time now if Alistar could receive a buff or two sometime soon because, if anything, he somewhat fits the meta pretty well. Yeah okay, he's a support type of champion but like, you can honestly play him AP as well. I've done so myself and AP Alistar in the mid lane is pretty fun. However, in low elo, he's hardly being played whatsoever. Even in high elo, I doubt he's even getting banned. In fact, his current win rate as of right now is 49% according to lolnexus.com. Not only that but also, his win rate according to na.op.gg in Patch 6.13 was 47.42% and his pick rate in Patch 6.13 was 7.11%. Looking at the statistics, we can interpret that in Patch 6.13 he had a very low pick rate. Moreover, we can't exactly tell what his pick rate is going to be this patch as Patch 6.14 has just arrived but, judging from how his pick rate was back in Patch 6.13, I assume it's pretty much going to be still very low as he hasn't had a single change made to him after the nerf made to his E. In addition, the last nerf that he actually received was back in Patch 6.6 and the nerf was basically made to his E where the healing got decreased by 17%. Honestly, his E getting nerfed back then is even confusing to this day because back then he was never really considered a strong OP champion nor was he a threat whatsoever. It's just been so long since he last had a change made to him and honestly, within the next couple of patches, maybe even next patch, he could really do with a buff or two. Maybe his Q could get a decreased cooldown at rank 2-3, maybe even rank 1-3. If not that then maybe his ultimate could have a longer duration. Maybe his ultimate could not take any physical and magical damage during the duration of his ultimate, instead of just reducing it. I don't know, I just think that Alistar needs some buffs as of right now and yeah he does pretty much fit the meta. Like, he maybe a tanky support type of champion but you can still build a lot of tanky AP items on him to be able to deal a lot of AP damage. Items such as Rod of Ages, Rylai's Crystal Sceptre, Abyssal Sceptre and then from there you can just build things like Luden's Echo, maybe something like a Lich Bane or maybe even Radabon's Deathcap. All I know is that, if he does receive a buff or two, people should definitely start to play him more, whether they're in low elo or high elo. In addition, I have noticed that there aren't many support champions being mentioned in videos that are made by high elo Diamond players who talk about "7 Must Pick Or Ban Champions as of Patch (whatever, whatever)" because there aren't really any champions that are considered quite strong in the support role in the current meta OTHER THAN champions such as Thresh and Leona. I'm saying Leona because she did happen to receive some changes recently BUT, I honestly think the support role could do with a bit more attention and I do think champions like Alistar do deserve at least one buff but that's what I think at least. Anyways, thank you to those who took the time to read this very long thread or, paragraph should I say and, I hope Riot do take all of this under consideration and hopefully give Alistar some positive changes.
