My rendering of what Riven might have looked like before she went into exile! Could be a skin, perhaps.

It's all about the nose, jawline, brow line and hip proportions.

It definitely looks male because her anatomy matches a male, even though her appearance matches Riven pretty well.

problem is that the picture has characteristics of a male strong jaw and less of an hourglass figure. I'm not saying you can't make women masculine looking but yah gotta have some feminine traits so the viewer knows what they're looking at

She broke it after she exiled herself. It wasn't always like that.

That's what I'm saying. Pre-exile her sword was fine, but when she ults its repaired. However, sense this is pre-exile, what would be of her sword? Would it just be together all the time?

The concept is cool, but the colours are off. Surely as a noxian the colour scheme would be black and red.

It should be noted that this is what Riven looks like in-game, albeit with more armor. I think it's assumed that she wears what's left of her old military outfit. If anything, Riot should bring her current appearance more in line with Darius and Sion

She wields a sword that probably weighs just about as much as both of them combined, besides her Redeemed skin works well enough for this.

Okay, being serious here I don't think it fits the theme of Noxus. If you look at any Noxian, they wear simple natural metal colors and a lot of intimidating spikes, blades, etc. Darius wears an almost rust looking armor, Sion's armor is more black metal, Singe's shield is all spiked and natural metal color too.

The dark green clunky plate really makes this fit more into the Commando skin line, since it looks fairly close to that of Commando Lux. Also, she probably wouldn't have shaved hair. That would fit more into the Piltover aesthetic, like with VI.

If you want to make her look more Noxian, just make her look more like a generic Grunt, then throw in all the flare.

The colours are from Riven herself, as I imagine she wears pieces of her old armor; I kind of just filled in what I imagine the rest of her old armor looked like. It's pretty heavy-duty armor, as I imagine she'd be the same kind of high-ranking juggernaut as Darius and Sion.

In the beginning Riot probably didn't have as strong a style-guide for Noxus, as some noxians features green rather than black & red. I interpret this by imagining green as an older Noxian style, like how chinese emperors often switched the "official royal colour" in our world.

The undercut is of course a nod to current real-world trends, but it also looks kind of military-like. Plus, her in-game haircut kind of looks like an undercut that has grown out.

Looks more Commando skin-line, than pre-exile.

I also missed the part where she turned into a dude with vague feminine characteristics, and a breastplate.

I've always hated that pauldron on base Riven, but your drawing incorporates it quite nicely. Kuddos. I do however have to agree with some others that her face is a bit man-ish compared to her base. A softer chin and less prominent eyebrows would help I think.

As a skin in game, she can't have her unbroken sword all the time; functionally her ult restores her sword and extends her attack range. You might want to give her a 2nd short sword to use until she activates her ult.

Sounds like a cool idea! The sword would be a problem... I don't mind the color scheme, maybe the armor should be a little less clean/modern looking(I'm thinking more cloth). She was a platoon leader or something in the past so it wouldn't be terrible for her to have a different color scheme or armor type than the usual?(whatever that is)
