So when rek'sai was announced forever ago the point was made that void creatures all come from some kind of species.

And so this guy derived from the concept of what others of say... Vel'koz's species might look like

To me he looks like something that can distort space and the area around him/her, creating portals and gateways. this is just an amazing design here [slayer-pantheon-rainbows]

Really badass concept. I absolutely love the alien anatomy of this guy.

This guy looks like perhaps it manipulates the fabric of reality, maybe acting as a conduit to allow the Void onto Runeterra. Or a fully Void-corrupted human (ala Kassadin & Malzahar , but to a much greater degree). Maybe a priest/priestess from lost Icathia now returned to finish the summoning ritual started ages ago? Or a primordial Voidborn, one of the first, who has survived and can add a dynamic to the Void . This guy sees Chogath , Khazix , KogMaw , RekSai , & Velkoz as evolutionary degenerates and wants to return to "pure" Voidborn like him/herself? This is based off how this character looks so strikingly different from the usual arthropodal (and one cephalapodal) appearances we've seen from the other natural Voidborn.

Sorry, I'm just theorycrafting some lore for this guy.

Do you have any more concepts? I would love to see what else you can imagine. Seriously, I can't get over how awesome this design is. Magnificent work.

  2. That 1st ability idea sounds interesting as a projectile range extender (AAs or abilities?) Though it may be overpowered just bc?

  3. That sweeping blast ability looks cool, same for the last ability (last on could be some sort of ult?)

This is a really cool concept! I love it visually, and it inspires me a lot.

If you want me to, I can try to come up with a kit and a stroy to him. I can send you my previous creations in PM (because I don't like people self-advertising in comments), so you can take a look and decide.

In general, I think, since it's Vel'Koz species, it must be revolving about knowledge/consumption. There haven't been melee mages in-game for a long time - using the"stabby-stab" and blink, it could work in this concept.

So let me know if you want me to work on that. I'll then send you the complete concept. :)

This is really cool, though I'm not sure if Rek'Sai having a "species" is the exception or the rule for the Void. From what I gather it may be the former since overrunning Runeterra with her progeny seems to be her 'thing', like Kog'Maw's hunger, Vel'Koz's desire for knowledge, or Kha'Zix's obsession with perfection.

So, here's my idea for this champ... Let me know if you like it:


O’Nox, the Dominus of the Void

  • **[P] – Exploration and Exploitation – **

Killing a champion will increase your whole teams damage to that particular champion by 1.5%, and O’Nox’s damage to that champion by 2.5%. Assisting in killing a champion increases O’Nox’s damage to that particular champion by 0.5%. This effect stacks infinitely.

  • *[Q] – Matter Breach – ** Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10/9 | Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 mana| Cone Width: 45 | Cone Legth: 600 | Projectile Speed: 1500 |

Active – O’Nox chooses two points in the cone in the chosen direction. He then fires a projectile towards the first point, that is always within the fixed distance of 200 units. At first point, opens a portal and disappears from the map for 0.5 seconds, to open a portal and re-appear on the second chosen point. From there, travels 200 more units in the direction second portal is facing. If hits an enemy champion at any given point, explodes and deals 90/130/170/210/250 (+65% AP) magic damage, slowing the target by 30% if it’s before the portal was opened . If hits enemy champion on the first 200 units, no portals will be opened.

The second portal will be always facing away from the first portal. O’Nox and allied projectiles can travel between the portals in both directions, with a delay of 0.5 seconds. O’Nox can travel through portals no more than once in 5 seconds, and disappears from the map while in the portal.

[NOTE]: Choosing positions for portals functions like Viktor’s Beam – it will not be cast or in any way triggered before the both points are chosen.

  • [W] – Paradigm Shift – Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana | AoE Radius: 350 | Cooldown: 22/20/18/16/14 seconds

Active – O’Nox shifts through the worlds matter with a delay of 0.5 seconds, making him unclickable for 4 seconds, and granting him 30/35/40/45/50% movement speed for the duration, making him immune to slow. On the end of the effect, shifts back with an explosion of void energy, which deals 75/110/145/180/215 (+50% AP) magic damage to all the enemies around O’Nox and slowing them by 15/20/25/30/35% for 2 seconds. Ability can be recast after 2 seconds, applying full effect.

Snaring, stunning, suppressing or displacing O’Nox will result in ability being interrupted, exploding prematurely with 50% damage and no slow. O’Nox can also interrupt this ability by attacking, resulting in the same premature explosion.

[NOTE]: Unclickable =/= untargettable. He can still be hit with spells that do not require click on a target to be casted.

  • **[E] – Void Slash – **Cost: 15/20/25/30/35 mana and 1 stack per use | Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds | Stacking Cooldown: 5 | Range: 250 | Delay between stacked casts: 0.75 seconds | Max stacks: 4

Passive – Attacking targets reduces cooldown of the active by 0.5 seconds, but not the stacking cooldown. Additional attack speed will reduce the delay between the casts. CDR does not affect cooldowns of this ability.

Active – O’Nox jabs in a line in front of him with one of his limbs, dealing 55/80/105/130/155 (+40% AP) magic damage. It will deal +50% damage to targets that are hit again within 2 seconds, and +100% damage to the targets that are hit for the third time within 2 seconds. The targets that are hit for the fourth time are dealt 200% more damage and are briefly stunned.

  • [R] – Voids’ March – Cooldown: 180/140/100 | Range: 1000 | Zone Radius: 650 | Path width: 200 |

Charges for 0.75 seconds to create a massive clot of energy and run it through the ground in the targeted direction, which leaves a line behind it for 4 seconds that increases ally movement speed by 20/30/40% while walking on it. If hits an enemy champion, explodes, dealing 250/375/500 (+50% AP) magic damage to all enemies around the target, and creating an unstable void zone for 4 seconds. Enemies in that zone build 30/40/50% slow over 2 seconds. Allies in the zone receive bonus attack speed.

If hits no enemy champion, just leaves a line on the ground that increases movement speed.
