Riot plans to Add Aatroxs pre-reworked Q to his Current ultimate as an additional Effect.
The pre-reworked Q allowed aatrox to jump in the air and and knock up any enemy champ, minion or monster in the air a fixed distance away. If his new ultimate had separate cooldowns for both effects that would be amazing.
So while world ender(R) is on cool down aatrox can jump over large walls and set up plays
To be honest, i doubt that will actually reach live, just might be a bit too much.

His old Q should replace his current E. It would force him to either all-in or escape, not do both with max CD. If they did that it would reward good play and punish bad play right there. They could afford to unnerf him in other areas or shift some power from his Q to the E if they did that, making him more than a one button champ.
While we're at it, make his ult cleanse things like Grievous Wounds on activation so that at least during his ult he can have his sustain back and remove the ult reset mechanic.
Do you have a link to where it was stated that they're bringing back Dark Flight for his ultimate? Because if it's actually true that's sick.
EDIT: though I've just read through your post again and honestly I think it would be better if the leap was the first activation of the spell, and then once you land you'd be in your empowered form similar to what he has right now on live. Aatrox having a second gapclosing ultimate after having used his first one just sounds like a bad idea to me.
