Taric Champion Update: Idea I had
So I was thinking about ** Taric**
and trying to come up with an interesting way to update him to keep his identity intact. I focused in on his obsession with Gemstones, so I thought "why not make his entire kit inventory based" kind of like Teemo Shrooms or Rockets for Corki, so here is what I was thinking
Passive: Gemstone Armor, remains roughly the same.
His **Q **becomes: Gemstone of Vitality. He stores up to 2 at a time, it takes 15 seconds to store 1, but it has a 2 second cooldown. when conjured they stay on the board for up to 10 seconds.
He lobs a large emerald roughly the size of a champion in an arc (Think like a Zilean time bomb). If it hits an ally it does a significant heal AND heals Taric. If it misses Taric does not receive the benefit of the heal, upon landing on the ground the emerald stays for 10 seconds as terrain, If an ally auto attacks it, it shatters healing them significantly. An enemy can also attack it to destroy it, but if they do it applies a slow to them. It serves as terrain still for the purposes of terrain based CC as well. If he casts this directly on himself, it behaves like his normal ability and has no skillshot animation.
His W becomes: Gemstone of Protection. He stores up to 2 at a time, they take 15 seconds to store 1, has a 2 second cooldown, this passively grants Taric Armor
Taric conjures a large sapphire out of the ground at a target location (Think Bard's heal shrine), it stays there until destroyed. It gives an aura of armor, Taric does not have to stop moving to cast this spell. Casting this a second time, causes the first sapphire to shatter as an aoe spell, and the new summoned stone continues providing the effect. An enemy can attack the sapphire to destroy it, but again it applies a slow when destroyed. as before this also acts as terrain for the purposes of terrain based CC.
His E becomes: Gemstone of Astonishment He stores up to 2 at a time and can have up to 2 on the ground at a time.
Taric fires a line skill shot that hits the first target it comes in contact with stunning them and shattering on impact, if it fails to connect with a target it lands on the ground and stays there (Think like Mega-Gnar's Q how it stays behind to be picked up). If it misses, an ally who auto attacks it will get a small rapidly decaying speed buff and their auto attacks will apply a significant slow.
Finally his** R** becomes: Radiance
It behaves very similary to his current R, but applies an additional effect based on which of his skills he most recently cast.
- If he most recently cast a Q, each time he auto attacks a champion it heals him for an amount that reduces by 50% per strike. I.E. his first Auto attack heals him immensely and each one gets weaker. (He can still cast Qs while in this state as well)
- If he most recently cast W, he gets an additional Armor bonus as if he were in the aura of one of his stones and radiates it for nearby allies. Also, his W behaves as his current W during the duration of his ultimate.
- If he most recently cast E. His move speed is increased and his auto attacks apply a slow to enemies struck.
I know this is a weird proposal, but i thought you guys might enjoy it.
