Dear Riot,

When I first started playing Leauge, I got really into the lore. But now... That lore is quite confused. While the lore was never particularly... connected... It was linked between champions and the various city states throughout the world you created. Granted, aside from the Noxus vs Ionia match (which swain wasn't able to participate in, and that still annoys me.) Lore has had almost no impact on the game. But that is sad. Id love to see more matches like that, so that noxus can conqu- I mean it would be fun.

More seriously though, the retcons do raise a lot of questions that I would love it if someone could clarify.

  1. so Poppy no longer was delivering the hammer to Demacia, did she still have the interaction (creepy stalker galio) with galio on the road?

  2. Since there isn't really (as far as i can tell based on the lore ive seen) an institute of war, why did Ashe and Tryndamere marry? originally it was to from a united nation so as to join the league, but that doesn't really exist anymore.

  3. Do ionia and demacia still have tensions regarding demacias refusal to really aid the in the fight vs noxus? and would that make Ionia and the Avarosian Freljord allies of a kind? seeing as how demacia refused to let refugees from the freljord in?

  4. Is Annie still noxian?

  5. what has nasus been doing for all these centuries while Azir has been gone?

  6. why did you get rid of xeraths old lore? I LOVED IT T___T (his story with that one female mage was sad)

  7. Garen and Katarina... are we ever going to see movement in that relationship? League has seen marriages, and coronations so why not?

  8. What is Amumus story? where did he actually come from?

  9. Did Rammus stil come across a runestone in a jungle and become sentient? cause... well, that was always really lame riot...

  10. Who is Jinx's sister?

  11. So Zaun... Is warwick still from zaun? and is it still singeds fault he is like that?

  12. Why is it that Noxus and Zaun have the most moral diversity? Riven is a good character (although she still believes in noxian strength she isn't as brutal as swain) ZAC, blitz, and ekko are reasonably decent, as compared to viktor or singed. But Demacia is all full of good people. Well, not quite good, but lawful. I mean, i wouldn't call them ethically sound but they do follow their laws.

  13. you have been building up the void, the frozen watchers, and the shadow isles for years. Will you ever give us an invasion event? (hint: that would be a good time for noxus and demacia to make peace and for garen and katto get together)

  14. Now that nasus and renekton are no longer extradimensonal, will kayle and morgana get a retcon? for that matter is morgana still running a bakery in noxus? ;3

  15. what is the ship in the middle of bandle city? are they from another planet? how would that make sense with gnar?

  16. since there isn't an institute of war... what are fiddlesticks and nocturnes story? they were created in the institute, and what was fiddle waiting for anyway?

  17. who is taric? where did he come from? and when is he getting a rework? (ok that one isn't lore related)

  18. what does the scroll on ryzes back do?

  19. so without the institute, who is keeping brand locked up?

  20. that interview with shaoc? is that canon? cause that was messed up... and awesome.

  21. did eve and twisted fate still date? and what made him think that was a good idea?

  22. Does zilean still suffer from chronodisplasia?

I think that about covers it for now...

Uhm I guess this is the wrong subforum for this,as there is a "story,art&sound"-subforum. This one is mainly for selfmade concepts or fanart.

As for some of your questions: 1)Poppy&Galio are still listed as friends,so they have most likely some connection.Since poppy seems to be now older than demacia itself it is very likely that the 2 might know each other for decades/centuries

2)We don't know the details,but Ashe still struggles with her rule over the freljord,because sejuani opposes her(and lissandra schemes behind her back),so I guess the marriage was to unite the freljord

4)She never really was noxian,her family came from noxus and made their own country.But in the end we don't know if Annies lore is still canon or not

5)probably gathering stacks for his Q :p.On a more serious note,he probably tried to search for a way to stop xerath if the tomb would open again,but thats just a theory

6)Well in a way Azir is the replacement for Tabitha.Azir was Xeraths best friend and at the end Xerath would have reconsidered his plans if they weren't already too far in motion to stop.

7)They are high ranking military personal of 2 nations that hate each other.I doubt they could just marry without problems.Though they've got some ship tease recently,so its likely that there is still something going on between them.

8)There was a leaked story on the Pbe once,appearantly he was a shuriman prince.Though that story was never officially released,so we don't know if it is canon or not(shurima champs are going to get updated bios next though)

9)Currently he is a complete mystery,we will probably get some info once the shurima lores arrive

10)We don't know.Vi is the only plausible candidate currently(as Ekkos lines imply that VI was born in Zaun),but there are some things that don't quite add up(as the purple shopkeeper says that Vi would look similar to her sister,but Jinx was pretty much designed to look not like Vi)

11)Probably,I mean they retconned his lore already once,so its unlikely they'll do it again

12)Most likely because these states started out as the "bad-guy"-factions,but since that is not only cliche,but also unreasonable Riot added more diversity to them(though I dunno if i'd consider riven good,she's probably more on the neutral side)."Good-guy"-states are less glaring,though riot did add some moral complexity to demacia lately(also it is unlikely for people who aren't lawful to survive that long in demacia)

13)Actually last years harrowing featured the story "shadow and fortune",which pretty much consisted of the shadow isles invading bilgewater.

14)They will get a retcon and it was said that they'll most likely keep some form of "otherworldlyness",but we didn't get any specifics

16)Sadly we'll have to wait until Riot updates their stories,until then we probably won't know

17)Taric will get a rework early this year and his lore will most likely updated alongside with his kit and visuals.Since poppy has a joke that includes a targonian and gems,many people speculate that Taric might be actually retconned into a targonian(and targon will also receive new lores after the shurima lores)

19)Probably no one.They removed the IoW partly because they didn't want to lock up the champs

20)Dunno about this,but I personally disliked it because it basically promised us to give us finally some insight into shaco,but didn't reveal anything.

21)Probably yes,as they are listed as rivals,though at this point no one knows what riot will do with eve
