Talking about Malzahar

First, Meowzahar skin, make it happen.

Second, so Malz was the first champion i ever played. My friend made me get League, but i didnt like a lot of the old lore except for Malzahar's, so i bought him and played him almost exclusively.

Three years later I am quite the fan of League, and as a Malzahar main still, I do enjoy his changes.

However, some things definitely need to be toned down, his jungling in particular. So I wanted to go into some possible changes to Malzahar to make his jungling less crazy and his lane presence a little more bearable. (though for the most part hes not really op in lane, he always crapped on melee champs he just wasnt played much before. if you want to beat him just play veigar or nasus or lux or ziggs and just shit on him)

  • Malzhars W does 50% less damage to jungle monsters, scaling up 10% per level till they get back to 100%.
    Malz clears to well, its just ridiculous. This doesnt stop him from clearing, it just vastly reduces his jungle clears until he gets a few levels to stop him from soling drag and rift herald before he even hits 6.

-Malzahars voidlings only spawn when hitting champions and large monsters IF that character is afflicted my malefic vision. Malzahar centers around his e and w, spawning voidlings and directing them with maelfic vision while using his q and r to keep the visions going. But if i can just spawn 6 voidlings why do i care about the e at all? thats 240% ad and 60% ap dmg per hit that they do. while i think that a lot of people are just whining cause they picked a melee mid/top laner and then got crushed by a champion who has always crushed melee champs (its what he does, try playing him into ziggs though and youll swear malz needs a buff) the fact is, malz e only matters for the first bit of his fight with a champ currently as hell just keep spawning more voidlings and overwhelm them no matter what. This makes malz more invested in keeping that e going.

-Reduce W's dmg by 20% on targets not afflicted by maleifc vision. pretty much the same thing as above, malz's e is his defining feature from a lore and gameplay standpoint. its what the fans of him are here for. Which brings me to my next change

-malzhar's e total ap ratio and total damage 70% -> 80% and 220 -> 300 Malz e just tickles while the voidlings crush face, one needs a little less power and the other needs a little more imho.

Finally, Meowzahar, make it happen Riot.

edit: oh and his e should grant vision. its called malefic vision.

They have a hotfix on the way that makes him deal 50% to neutral monsters. its gunna make it MUCH harder for him to jungle or clear drag solo. as someone who plays malz either mid or top i am sad cause now i wont be as able to sneak off and grab extra farm should i get ahead...

as for the spawning on visions only, that would mean you CANT take minions first cause they wouldnt do shit for wave clear or help in jung AT ALL. and as far as getting 6 out, that is best case senario and by that time they dont have much duration left so its not like i spawn 6 at once and your dead. it just means you have to actually THINK if you are trying to lane against him. trying to chase him through an empty area? he spawns minions and you are the only target for them. why would you want to ignor them and go for him still as the new ones spawn between you and him?

it seems you really want to nurf his minions...but you probably wouldnt be happy even if it was that they only got 10% AD

his vision, while fun arent his staple and i have never seen tit that way. its always been about minions. build CDR and mana regen so you can constantly have them up the visions was just a guide for the minions to follow

TLDR i know this is a bit of a ramble, but i am getting tired of seeing the same posts pop up every day from different people. malz may be a bit easier now than before but that doesnt make it stronger. they have nurfed his overall damage and given him sustain. his old w (pool) would MELT tanks not to mention his AP damage and ratios on his q,e and r have all gone down slightly. before his minions were a sort of "extra" damage as part of his passive now they are just a skill and his ult only does % damage so any non HP stacking champ isnt as hurt by it. and there i go rambling again...
