I figured with the knew hextech system that skin trading and the trading of shards etc. would be a cool addition. I dont see and fall back in this idea besides Riot losing out on money due to people simply gifting their friend through this system instead of having to buy the skin for their friend.
The downside? Alternate accounts. Theoretically you would never have to pay cash for another skin again.

Skin trading would be cool... but also absolutely terrible for business. It simply wont happen.
