Veloras, The Terror Beneath Primary Role: Mage

Deep beneath the Shuriman sands lie the Crystal Vanguard who protects Runeterra from the twisted and cruel entity from the other realm that links itself to the city-state of Valoran. For centuries, the vanguard paced in front of the entrance tearing any who dare pass to shreds. In time, the vanguard and the mysterious realm was forgotten, nothing more than a myth faded in Valoran history.

Only one true being is old enough to remember the entity's reign over Valoran: the vanguard himself. To prevent him from being consumed by the entity's madness, he recites to himself the story-- true story-- of the terror caged beneath the sands.

Magic was not manifested on Valoran. It was introduced by an ancient race and spread quickly from hemisphere to hemisphere. Humans and creatures adopted magic into their way of life. Magic was perceived as a good thing: everyone used it. But the members of the ancient race used it in war, enhancing themselves and their weapons for battle. The prowess of the race's skill was demonstrated when they split on sides of a human civil war and obliterated themselves. Few remained.

From then on from the civil war, magic was looked at with caution and curiosity. What else could be used with magic? One of the last of the remaining ancient race answered to Valoran's curiosity and taught them the craft of war with magic. For centuries, magic would be used to settle even the pettiest disputes. Valoran and Runeterra in a whole were tearing itself apart.

Who could cause such bloodlust and recklessness in the lands human and creatures? Veloras, the very thing that introduced magic to this world. Disguised as a simple Valoran sorceress, Veloras would encourage her comrades to battle with spells and no mercy. She made her way from the north to the south, spreading destruction and death in her path. When she reached Shurima, two heroes waited for her, ascended by her race's own war power.

It seemed too easy to take her down. The two heroes ceased her with ease. She seemed willing to be locked away deep under the empire guarded by the vanguard. All hope for Valoran was restored with Veloras locked away forever.

Her form may have been securely caged, but her magic still spread through Valoran. She whispered to its denizens and instilled in them the knowledge of magic warfare. The Institute was created to stop the spread of violence and contain it in one place.

Veloras still spoke to him and planted seeds of doubt in his mind. When the news of the Institute falling to an unknown entity, the vanguard gave in to the doubt and Veloras escaped her imprisonment when he was weak. Looking upon the change of Runeterra from the millennia since her reign, Veloras traveled across Valoran gathering information of the change over time. A war was brewing. Veloras itched for warfare each day during her imprisonment. This creature, this armageddon incarnate, would give her the war she needs. **_ WIP (working on this as I go in and out of League matches. stop me) Initiation Ceremony (Lore Challenge) The countryside of Ionia may be picturesque, but the amount of bloodshed that went on for the time Veloras was caged is visible in the rifts of the dirt. She could sense it. High in the clouds was she and the other acolytes with Vishas standing on the mountains of the celestial being Bard. Fabeled to have appeared at one point in Valoran history to intervene in mortal affairs, the three stars of his constellation are long gone from the sky. The acolytes stood crammed on the first mountain, peering over the misty edge trying to think of what lay below the clouds. Vishas, unfazed, stood on the second mountain crosswise to the third. "Welcome trainees to Bard Mountain. Another sacred ground lost to the Armageddon." Vishas breathed in the shallow air. He turned from the acolytes and bent down to a bag. Veloras twitched as Vishas raised a blue orb to the sky. "Welcome to your initiation ceremony, trainees." Vishas set the orb on the ground near his feet. "This was recovered from a... confidential location. If restored to these mountains, then maybe Bard will return. That is your goal to become a member: return the orb to the mountains." The trainees murmured among themselves. This seemed too easy. "What are you waiting for? The orb is right here." [to be continued cue x files music]

[KIT] I imagined Veloras to be a mage that stacks up damage over the course of a fight, considering her lore describes her as the creator of magic warfare in Runeterra. In the course of the lore, she shows two forms: her disguise and her actual form. So, she has to be able to change between these two forms, but I don't want it to be as generic as Hel from Smite. Putting that in mind, I give you, the Kit. Also, the names are lame so if you have any suggestions feel free.

[PASSIVE]: Magic Warfare Veloras gains magic warfare stacks when enemies are hit with any type of damage from her and her allies around her. At max stacks, she can unlock her ultimate Caged Fury. Magic warfare stacks deplete when after a certain amount of time out of combat. Additionally, Veloras gains bonus AP based on the amount of stacks she has. [Q]: Shatter Skillshot Normal: Veloras shoots out dark magic in a straight line. If it hits an enemy, it can be cast again for half the mana cost two times (total of three). Caged Fury: Enemies who are hit with shatter in succession have bonus magic damage dealt to them each hit. Shatter explodes in a radius on impact. [W]: Inspiration Passive Normal: Veloras' presence causes nearby allies to gain bonus magic damage. Caged Fury: Allies also gain bonus cooldown reduction. [E]: From Below Targeted Normal: Veloras chooses a target location and travels through the ground, erupting at the location. Enemies in the location take damage. Caged Fury: Enemies in a large radius around the location also take damage. [R]: Caged Fury Self Veloras channels her fury and reveals her true form, empowering her abilities and adding a damage over time effect. **_

[GAMEPLAY]

Early Game Veloras excels in team fights and high aoe damage, so her early game/laning phase is weak. If she doesn't get kills and assists early her effectiveness in the mid game team fights will be lowered. If she can't get a kill in lane she will be forced to roam and lose xp to the tower (or the tower itself).

Mid Game Veloras will need to start stacking up RoA otherwise she'll be deleted going into the enemy team. If the enemy team chooses to focus the ADC or other carrying team member, Veloras will clean them up with a broom. She needs good initiation to follow up on or risk going in her self and be subject to CC.
