Aatrox Rework Idea
Aatrox has been weak for a pretty long time now. Even with the changes to his kit, he's still not in the best shape. Even Riot acknowledges this as they said they were putting him through "the largest pure gameplay update we have ever done on a champion."
While I figure Riot has their own ideas on how to fix him, I wanted to try and take a shot at fixing him while keeping the core essence of his kit in tact.
That being said, I'm no game dev, so the numbers and ratios probably are not as balanced as they should or could be, but I think the kit itself isn't bad.
Passive: Bloodlust- When either dealing or taking damage, Aatrox builds up Bloodlust to a max of 100. For every 10 Bloodlust Aatorx stores, he gains 2/2.5/3% additional attack speed. After hitting 100 Bloodlust, Aatrox also receives a stack of rebirth. Bloodlust decays rapidly while out of combat.
Blood Born- After hitting 100 Bloodlust, Aatrox receives a stack of rebirth for 5 minutes. If Aatrox is killed while processing rebirth, he is instead revived after a 3 second delay with 25/30/35% of his total health and 50 Bloodlust. (5-minute cooldown from revival) (Only one stack of rebirth may be stored at a time.)
Q: Heart Hunter- Aatrox stabs his sword forward in a straight line, piercing all enemies hit, dealing 60/75/90/115/130 (+70% AD), and applying on hit effects to all enemies hit. If an enemy is hit with the tip of the sword, they take 50% more damage, are slowed by 40/50/60% for 1/1.5/2 seconds, and heal Aatrox for the bonus damage dealt.
Health cost: 5% current health. Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds
W: Blood biter/ Back biter- On activation, Aatrox toggles between two passives.
Blood Biter- Every 3rd basic attack, Aatrox heals for 6/7/8/9/10% of his total health, this healing is doubled while at 25% health or bellow.
Back Biter- Every 3rd basic attack, Aatrox deals 100% of his attack damage(+ 2/3/4 times the amount of bloodlust spent.) as additional damage at the cost of 25% of his current bloodlust
Cooldown: 3/3/3/3/3 seconds
E: Warpath- Passive: while Aatrox moves, he slowly builds bonus movement speed while out of combat up to a bonus of 60% movement speed. When at max bonus Aatrox will begin to fly. (Aatrox cannot fly over terrain.)
Active: Aatrox jumps into the air and slams down at a target location, knocking up all enemies in the center and dealing 90/100/110/120/130 (+50% AD) damage to all enemies hit. While flying, the range and target area of the dive are much larger and enemies hit are also feared for .75 seconds.
Cooldown: 17/16/15/13/12 seconds Health cost: 10% of current health
R: True Fury- Aatrox draws in power from nearby, dealing 200/250/300(+100% AD) damage to all enemies around him and empowering himself. While empowered, Aatrox gains increased range on his basic attacks and his heart hunter, while also instantly filling his bloodlust and doubling the attack speed bonus for 10 seconds. While in this state, he also builds the movement speed bonus on Warpath much quicker and Bloodlust does not decay.
Cooldown: 120/100/80 seconds
EDIT: health cost of back biter has been removed. to compensate, the damage back biter now deals 100% AD at all levels and does bonus damage based on the amount of bloodlust spent
