Pink looked better for Blood Moon Elise

The majority of us were okay with the color pink, so we were silent. The minority of the ones who didn't like it complained and because of the silent majority, it seemed like the color pink was a big problem. It wasn't. Pink looked so much cleaner and better with the rest of the skin. The new Blood Moon Elise looks lackluster compared to the old one. Pink matched the color blue and gold far better and it brought the skin together. This hot red makes the skin look like a fucking mess. The spell particles don't even match and if you keep this red, then you would most likely change the pink particles to red and that would look ugly, honestly. Just take a look at the entire skin compared to the new red color.

Pink is so much cleaner and so much more subtle. The red one is just kinda... bleh.

The pink one looked beautiful, but red does make more sense since it's 'blood moon' and all the blood moon skins have been red. Should make a pink lotus skin for Elise, would be awesome.

i like the pink in itself but it's Blood Moon Elise and Blood Moons trade mark is red not pink so i think it fits quite well with the concept of blood moon

The mysterious Pink is now gone :/ Red looks out of place, Elise was the mysterious and beautiful one of the Blood Moon team.

Riot , your artists are geniuses, please do what you guys feel is better..

I prefer the red. The pink looked good on the spider form but so does the red, and the pink human form was really washed out. Plus, for obvious reasons the new iteration fits in more with the Blood Moon theme. Pink Elise could be fun but... not for Blood Moon imo.

My only complaint with the new version is the change of the legs on the spider form. I liked the blue/purple filling up the whole lower part of her legs.

I like the pink, but it doesn't fit the blood moon theme (which should be red or dark red). This being said, I'd prefer a rename for this skin, over a recolor. I didn't think the style fit very well with the other blood moons anyways, color being excluded.

PBE boards made quite a lot of noise because pink doesn't fit the "blood moon" style. They strayed away fro red because Elise's default skin has a quite a bit of red in it, but after looking at it they decided to change the color to red. Red still looks really good, and it now falls more in line with the blood moon concept of skins.

I've never bothered to actually post on the boards but this topic has provided me reason, as an Elise main who plays her almost every game. I think the complaints about the magenta version were ludicrous as the dark tones still fit the skin. I support the magenta version. Plus the old spiderform looked more like therefore Pokemon ariados then which is a pretty cool homage.

Also rito pls eagerly awaiting splash art to match her gorgeous face in this skin. After this mess gets sorted out. And I also support the retractable mask idea.

Agreed. I really hope they'll change it back to pink. I understand the need to be loyal to the blood moon style, but wouldn't a change in the last of the series be more fitting? If need be, change the name, but it was beautiful before and I hope it'll be altered back or at least have the original retained.

You're being a rude, big jerk. It's people like him that got the change. Ofc it's not his fault, but someone at Riot is like, portaling these people's 'opinions' into their design decisions.

And you know it's always the bad decisions going in.....no1 wanted Mecha Aatrox, Malphite, Kog etc....never seen suggestion for them. I've seen Mecha demand for other champs that run into multiple page threads etc.

Somehow I doubt it was changed solely because people complained about it being pink. You are forgetting all of the texture rebalances Riot has been doing to skins to get them to fit onto the new rift's pallette better. I am guessing this was the new elise skin's rebalance.

Maybe that's what Riot decided to do, but we won't get Order of the Lotus Elise for few more months.

Opinions are valuable to some individuals. But it gets ridiculous when people become so hostile because they believe their opinion is better. Moral rant aside, here's my thoughts on the change.

These are my theories on why red Elise fits better:

  1. Blood Moon is generally a series of dark reds, violets, and some white, going off of the current Blood Moon skins (i.e. Shen, Akali, Kalista).
  2. It fits with Riot's goal of clarity. The magenta/pink skin is more muted. What did Riot say when they updated the Rift? They wanted champions to stand out against the background so they can be picked out. The bolder red skin accomplishes this.

I doubt everyone will agree with me, but this is what I sternly believe. If you don't like it, at least be respectful when presenting your thoughts on the matter.

Pink looks good for Elise. Red looks good for Blood Moon Elise.

I like these pink colors, but I'd rather her get a new skin that makes better use of it and would like Blood Moon to remain red.

Rose red may be what your looking for tho I think cherry would look better
