Champion Mastery: Support VS. Other Roles

If I have this thread in the wrong section of the boards, please let me know.

Right, so the Champion Masteries have just been released, and since I main the Du Couteau sisters and Soraka, I'm looking to get them 'Mastered'. The thing is, according to the initial post about Champion Mastery that Riot posted, each role is judged differently by the Mastery system and rewards points differently. I played a few games with the Du Couteau sisters and I blazed up so many points, mainly because one is a mage and the other is an assassin, so I got a lot of kills and won the games.

I switched to Soraka, and I went something like 0/0/19, around there, and I won, but I was given such little Mastery points. Let me make this clear, I'm not here to complain, but I'm here to understand how the system checks how you played the role and how to get the maximum number of points. I don't think it expects me to get as many kills on Soraka as I did on Katarina and Cassiopeia.

I guess my main question is, what is the Mastery system looking for according to each role to get the best amount of points?

My first game I played with Soraka I got an S rating, and I got +918 mastery points (like half of the level 1 thing). It's definitely not a support thing. It's just looking for you to do better than the average at Soraka. I think it accounts for the length of the game, too.

I went 2/6/28 with a team killing of 50 with soraka got S rating. Played 5 games with soraka all wins and now level 3.

If people are saying that their support roles are getting good scores I would check stuff that is related to support. Like do you have more wards placed/destroyed than your teammates. What was your damage healed compared to teammates? That sort of stuff. Deaths take away (since it's hard to tell when they are important sacrifices to save a fight, or when they are getting caught), and wins help (off sets the death stuff, if you have to die a couple times to win, the win gives you the points back in a way), but beyond that there are a lot of metrics that could be used other than kills or assists. Like are 19 assists the highest assist total in the game, or did your team destroy them in a bunch of team fights and so the whole team averaged 18 assists and you just were there basically. Obviously don't know what the formula is but maybe look at other stuff like wards, heals, did you have a high or low kill participation % compared to team, and you'll see something that if they are counting it could bring down your score.

It could have just been that the game was really short. It could have been that you didn't ward as much as the average soraka support (those stats count), or wards destroyed etc. Even some kills (even though you're support) could have bumped you up some. It might have been something as simple of you doing very little damage in comparison to other sorakas etc.

The main thing they take in account is if you Won (Duh). But how long the match lasted is more important then the KDA.
