New Champ Idea: Silear the Parasite

Please note that this is an extremely rough concept of a champ. Please if you have any criticism (constructive or otherwise) let me know. This is just an idea that i want to build upon. I will be editing and checking this post a few times a week maybe more. I'll also try and flesh out the abilities and lore more as time goes on. This is a WIP so its always changing.

EDIT: Ill be working on the Lore when I feel like it

Passive: Inject Silear may inject itself inside a target ally Champion (This would be achieved by right clicking the champion of your choice similar to Zilean's passive.) While Injected, he will have no control of movement of the Champion but has access to a new set of abilities that assist the Champion you are Injected in. Silear can also remove itself from the Injected Champion (Just right clicking away similar to Tahm Kench's W) If the champion you are Injected in dies, you spawn where he/she died with half of your current Health. After being Injected for 1 min (Tracks for 1 min on each champion) you are forced out and cannot enter that champion for 90 sec

Q: Adrenaline/Neurotoxic Spike

If Injected, you give a small heal and speed boost to the Champion that also frees them from soft CC (Slow, Blind, Snare/Root)

If not injected, you shoot a projectile that damages the first enemy hit. If it's an enemy champion, it slows and applies Grievous Wounds

W: Epidermis Shell/Procreate

If Injected, you give a shield that lasts 5 seconds

If not injected, you send a part of yourself to a target area for 5 seconds. If a minion or monster enters or is in the AOE, the pod infects that unit and it becomes friendly and fights for your team for up to 10 seconds. Allies may attack it as usual and it will not fight back until the duration ends. If an enemy Champion walks in the AOE, the pod attacks their immune system. Causing them to receive % increased damage from all sources except your own for 5 seconds.

E: Sensory Enhancement/Malleable Resource

If Injected, you increase an ally's attack range, basic ability range, and vision for up to 10 seconds

If not Injected, you consume a minion (ally or enemy) doing so gives you mana & reduces the CD of all your other basic abilities

R: Final Host/Takeover If Injected, Silear give the Champion he's Injected in up to 50/60/70% increased resistances, 20/25/30% increased bonus AD & AP for 5/6/7 seconds. Silear cast his Not Injected abilities instead of his Injected abilities from the champion he is Injected in for this duration

If not Injected, Silear Channels & Suppresses a target enemy Champion for 1 second. After this it then gains control of the target for 10/12.5/15 seconds with these Effects

  • You receive 20% increased damage
  • Your normal abilities are replaced of that with the Champion you Took Over
  • When you die, the enemy Champion you took over dies instead and you spawn in its place

I like the concept but maybe your could reword or rework some of the abilities a bit. make the passive like "starts with a point in the ultimate at start of game, activate and channel ultimate briefly to enter a host ally champion. reactivate ult while inside the host to end the effect. If the host would die (and here is where you get to choose as the designer) either have Silear eject from the host upon hosts death or die with host (because Silear is inside the host champion.)" maybe gain a movement speed buff when ejecting from host.

and now lets evaluate the other abilities shall we (ssshhh, I'll be gentle):

Q: kinda replaced into the passive but maybe the host will gain 10/20/30/40/50% bonus resistance stats (armor/MR) based on Silear's current resistance stats. activate on an enemy to shoot a point and click spike that reduces the enemies resistances and offensive stats.

W: grant a shield to host equal to percent of Silear's AP. enemies who hit the shield take magic damage.

E: Toggle: while off, grants host an attack speed buff and on hit effects with autos. While active trails a cloud of vapor behind host giving them increased movement speed and slows enemies movement speed and attack speed but consumes mana.

R: Channel on an ally or enemy champion. if ally, they recieve above stats ^^ but if an enemy champ, you supress them for a short duration (can be cleansed or Qss'd) and then for 15 seconds they switch teams and join your side while you control them for the duration. you have access to their abilities and items. while in enemy host they have reduced resistances. if the enemy kills your enemy host they are awarded the kill gold for it and you eject from the host upon death.

just my spin on the concept. but in general i like the idea :) would be nice to see a Mind Slaver (Magic the Gathering term) effect in League of Legends. keep up the creative work

I like the concept and there is pretty good idea.

For the passive: I think that injection should be limited. Even if silear can go out to use other abilities he can stay in someone too much. Or when injected ennemies can't interact with silear which isn't really fun for them. Limitation can be: duration + CD or number of spell to use, expulsed by hard CC/ heavy damage or something else.

W: 25% increased damage for 5 seconds is insane but number shift shoudl be enough. The domination is interesting

E: really good, vision buff is unusual bonus but adapted

R injected: Numbers are very high but concept is good. I saw a small problem with using un injected abilites: How do you choose between injected and uninjected abilities?

R uninjected: it's OP but for this abilites i'm not sure numbers change will be enough. Ennemies control is extremely powerfull. It's the most powerfull CC possible. Idea to make it balanceable: skill shot, reduce hardly duration and give ennemies counter (else than cleanse/qss) like being hard CC could end ult or someting else.

I see you have a symbiote champ. I, too, have a symbiote champ (http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/i8jAJmVT-champion-concept-malvos-the-will-of-the-void).

Yours is actually rather interesting, though. Reminds me a bit of Kalista with the whole 'bind to your ADC' thing with the passive. I take it for full effectiveness you will need to manually enter and leave the champ you're supporting in order to switch kits?

Also, do the different versions of your abilities have their own separate cooldowns, or does using one lock that slot on cooldown even if you leave/enter a host?

I like the inject Idea but it seems like you didn't takr full advantage of thr possibilities. The ult is kinda a weaker yorick ult and his kit wouldn't feel fun to play as even if it did make a huge impact. I would say having Silear make units

And gaining bonuses to the units and him/herself for how many times thry inject into the units such as extra tank stats or new abilities that come up if injected into the units made by Silear would be unique.

Another thing is that the W doesn't have any clear indication of how long the shield lasts or how big it would be.
