I think a champion who can change elements would be an interesting addition. He can change elements with his first ability, and his element has various bonuses that augment his stat base and abilities. Ice for example would allow you to slow enemies. Fire would increase damage. Earth would increase defense and allow you to temporarily stun enemies. You get the idea. With the ability to change elements it would also allow you to change how you fight and thus would make him/her/it a very versatile champion. Like taking a watered down Brand, Ashe, Malphite etc and allowing you to shift between them. Your other abilities would be based off of your main element.

Passive, Affinity: grants buff based off of element Fire: Damage + Elec: Mana Regeneration + Ice: Defense + Earth: Max HP +

Q, Shift: Change your element. (Like Twisted Fates pick a card) Fire (Damage focus) Elec (Single target damage) Ice (Slow) Earth (Stun)

W, Elemental blast: A ranged elemental strike. Fire: Sets enemies on fire. Elec: Chain hits enemies. Ice: Slows enemies. Earth: Stuns enemies.

E, Elemental Strike: An AoE attack that hits an area. (Like Nasus) Fire: Does higher damage over time. Elec: High damage to random targets. Ice: Slows enemies as well. Earth: Knocks enemies into the air.

R, Elemental Unleash: An extreamly powerful Attack. Null: Single hit to all enemies around you. Fire: Does higher damage to enemies around you. Elec: Zaps enemies around you. Ice: Slows and harms enemies around you. Earth: Stuns and harms enemies around you.

Something like this maybe.
