Champion Concept: Somnul - The Sleepless
Sealed away in a long forgotten Shuriman monument, Somnul remained imprisoned for millennia. A disgraced Shuriman warrior, Somnul was one of a few Awakened that commanded the armies of Shurima, but fell from grace due to the connivery of Xerath. In his prime, Somnul was undoubtedly one of the best commanders in the nation, and one of the most reputable men in Runeterra. After Xerath managed to create doubt about his reputation, Somnul eventually stood wrongfully accused and convicted of murdering his brethren. Betrayed by his people and left broken, Somnul was cursed with immortality, and to never find true rest, and was then promptly mummified and buried alive, the monument both his grave and a warning to trespassers not to break the seal placed upon it. After millennia, the seal's power faded...and now Somnul rises again, now partly driven mad by millennia of being unable to find the rest he so yearned for. He wants only one thing: Answers. What happened to his people? What became of his great nation? and most importantly, Where can he take vengeance on the being that took everything from him?
Role: Magic-based Tank, capable of filling most roles other than marksman.

Passive: Unrest- Somnul does not regenerate mana normally. Instead, his basic attacks and damaging abilities give him mana. Attacks give 35% of the damage dealt, and abilities give 20% of their damage dealt. In addition, killing an enemy makes Somnul's next spell in the next 10 seconds free (20 second flat cooldown on minion and monster, not affected by CDR. 10s duration resets if another minion dies before the free spell is used. If the spell is not used in the 10 second time period, this still goes on cooldown. Any champion takedown Somnul took part in, regardless of this ability's cooldown, grants a reset.) Going back to base still replenishes Somnul's mana bar as normal.
Q: Awakened Wrath- Somnul fires a beam of burning sunlight in a target direction, damaging and marking all enemies in its path. Basic attacks from Somnul or allies proc the mark for additional damage and a .25s microstun. [50/65/80/95/110+35%AP] on initial hit, and again on mark consumption. Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8s || Mana cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana
W: Sandstorm- Toggle to deal damage to enemies around Somnul. Passive: 20% of damage dealt to Somnul is taken from his mana instead of his health. While Sandstorm is active, this percentage is doubled to 40% [10/20/30/40/50+20%AP/s] Minimum 1s cd between toggling on/off. || Mana cost: 10/15/20/25/30 mana/s
E: Entangling Trail- Somnul dashes 350 units in a target direction, leaving a bandage trail behind him wherever he goes for 2s after the cast. This ability can be used up to 2 more times in quick succession, resetting the 2 second timer before the ability ends. Once the ability is used 3 times, or the timer runs out, Somnul pulls all his bandages to him, rooting and damaging enemies they pass through (no matter how they're oriented with each other) and pulling them a fixed 200 units towards him. Note: the dashes themselves deal NO damage [40/55/70/85/100+30%AP] || Cooldown: flat 16s from initial cast / .3s delay between charges || Mana cost: 85 mana all ranks.
R: Shuriman Judgement- Somnul targets a champion other than himself and seals them in a coffin for up to 5s. Allies can cancel this ability after the 1st 1s of it, and are essentially in stasis, being untargetable, but unable to move without canceling the effect. Enemies are locked inside, becoming untargetable from basic attacks (though still being affected by abilities) and taking %hp damage over the duration of the ability. Enemies can break their friend out of the coffin early by using any hard crowd control effect on the coffin, or by basic attacking it 3/4/5 times. [5/7/9%hp/s over 5s || total 20/35/45%hp over 5s if uninterrupted. Cooldown: 185/165/145s || Mana cost: 150 all ranks.
grew up... Definitely good for top/jungle role. As ganks would be super easy once he reaches 6. R followed by E sounds deadly.
I'd rather have this champ in-game than Amumu.
