Fim, The Arcanophage

Description

Fim was an idea born from my initial thoughts of the Void mixing with Sylas and his design. Fim isn't actually from the void or even associated with it, but elements of their design ideology fell into the way his E and R were constructed. Essentially, magic is an energy just like everything else, so why does everything seem to either not use it or treat it as some energy to be harnessed as power? Everything that exists in nature exists as food, from obvious things such as other life to more obscure things like rocks or soil. So, too, should magic be the food for something.

And so Fim was born. Fim isn't a form of life, in our current understanding, but more like a creature literally born from magic. Imagine Xerath, but with the human element stripped from its mind. He doesn't look like that, either, since there isn't truly a vessel Fim is trapped within. He's a construct, sure, but he exists within the magic of Runeterra itself. He manifests as a phantom of sorts, dwelling within stolen garments or corpses in an attempt to resemble its prey- the magic using creatures the world over.

For the purposes of League of Legends and the actual game, Fim would appear as though a translucent gray silhouette was occupying a discarded and frayed cloak. His attacks would resemble Vladimir's Q, though obviously with different coloration, while his E and R would require special consideration beyond my sleep deprived minds ability to describe. Fim's voice could be anything, and while I lean towards an apathetic male voice, the tone hardly matters beyond that.

In terms of lore, I have Fim being a natural consequence of the use of Runes during the scene in Ryze's cinematic. He was 'born' then, from the untempered power writhing about, and while he has since gained true awareness, his goal hasn't changed. He wants to unite all magic into himself before leaving the world to its own devices. That's why it hunts, too, and deliberately leaves those without magic alone. Might not sound like a deep motivation, but not everyone can be Viktor, okay?

Abilities

Passive: Endless Hunger - When a visible enemy casts a spell within 2000 units of Fim, he gains a stack of 'Arcanophage'. Whenever Fim reaches 8 stacks, they are consumed, reducing his remaining cooldowns by 2 seconds and permanently granting him a stack of 'Enter The Infinite', improving his abilities. If he leaves combat for more than 8 seconds, remaining stacks of Arcanophage are instead transformed into 15 mana each. | Q: Preta - Fim tethers to an enemy with 600 units for 1.5 seconds. If they fail to leave that range, they are silenced for 1 second and Fim steals 40/65/90/115/130 +30%AP HP from them as magic damage. For every stack of Enter The Infinite, the damage is increased by 1%. Has a 18/16/14/12/10 second cooldown and costs 80/90/100/110/120 mana. | W: Soul Stealer - Passively, Fim regains 6/7/8/9/10 mana whenever he takes damage from an enemy ability. While toggled, Fim's attack range is set to 125 and his attacks cost 40/35/30/25/20 mana, but he steals 20/30/40/50/60 +8%AP HP on hit as magic damage. The range of his autos is increased by 1 per stack of Enter The Infinite, up to 225. 1 second cooldown between toggles. This is automatically disabled if Fim doesn't have enough mana. | E: Devour Space - Fim channels for up to 2 seconds, based on distance, before blinking up to 800/1100/1400/1700/2000 units away. There is a .25 second delay before he lands, during which Fim is untargetable. Upon landing, Fim gains 50% movement speed towards enemy champions for 1 second. For every stack of Enter The Infinite, Fim's channel time is reduced by 1%, up to 75%. Has a 24/23/22/21/20 second cooldown and costs 160/140/120/100/80 mana. | R: The Infinite Maw - Fim becomes shielded by his magic for the next 2/2.5/3 seconds, becoming both unable to attack or be disabled. Damage that would be dealt to Fim is instead stored to charge an omnidirectional blast that deals up to 300/600/900 +140%AP magic damage to all enemies within 475 units. For every stack of Enter The Infinite, 5/7.5/10 damage is automatically charged. Has a 140/100/60 second cooldown and costs 100 mana.
