Severeth was once a holy man living in a small village near the border of Ionia. His life was rather peaceful, despite being a knight, as he was assigned to the town as a guard.

After around twenty years of peaceful protection, only being called to battle for the occasional monster that lurked near the village, something changed. The war between the Ionian and Noxian lands ripped through his home, slaughtering everyone he knew, including himself.

Bleeding profusely from all over, disarmed, and forced to watch his family torn to shreds, Severeth called for revenge. Not from Kalista, for this would not be a righteous vengeance. No... This was a far darker wish.

Practically blind and moments away from death, he heard a voice. The voice was dark and deeper than any valley, but it held no malice in it. It spoke of understanding what horror meant. "You seem lost, my friend."

Severeth breathed heavily, rage replacing his despair.

"Yes... Give me your anger- Give me your will- and all you want will disappear."

As the pale shimmer of life faded from Severeth's eyes, a new glow replaced it. Unlike the white gleam that once shone from those bright blue orbs, a red haze shone through the darkening light of the dusk-time streets.

"Welcome, Severeth, to the Underneath," the voice greeted, inviting him to stand.

But Severeth had changed. No more was the White Knight free, for his armor had been soaked with blood.

Severeth was revived as a Hisada, whose origin is explained here: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/lLyEAm9t-the-underneath.

Personality:

Severeth didn't lose his mind when he became a Hisada, so parts of his aged and wisened mentality were retained, but they only stood to amplify his actions.

He understood that things lived in balance, and his blood-soaked mind took that to mean revenge was balance. His powers also spoke to him, in a sense, leading his already nihilistic tendencies towards one major realization: everything was doomed to die.

That includes himself, as he came to realize. All he could do before his own body decayed into nothing was remove everything he saw as wrong with the world.

HP: 520-1513 HP Regen: 7-20 Secondary Bar Tracks Give The Devil His Due AD: 61-117 Attack Speed: .630 (+3.2% per level) Movement Speed: 335 Attack Range: 150 Armor: 32-65 Magic Resist: 28-47

Passive: Give The Devil His Due - Passively, Severeth's critical strike chance is increased to 12.5%. If it would be pushed past this by other sources, this doesn't reduce crit to 12.5%. Additionally, the way crits function for Severeth is unique. Whenever he deals damage with an ability or auto attack, he generates a number of stacks of Down Under equal to 10x his critical strike chance (Base 125). Whenever he auto attacks and that strike brings him to or past 1000, 1000 stacks are consumed and the attack crits.

Q: Strike From Below - Severeth's next auto attack summons a 200 unit wide field of demonic hands around the target for 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3 seconds. Enemies standing atop the surface take 30/50/70/90/110 +20%AD damage per second over the duration. This ability costs 40 HP, halved if the attack crits, and has a 10/9.25/8.5/7.75/7 second cooldown.

W: Doom Blade - Severeth swings his blade forward, shooting a beam of dark energy forward 450 units. Enemies hit by the blade (range of 150 units) take 60/80/100/120/140 +80%BonusAD physical damage (this can crit) and enemies hit by the beam (150-450) take 30/60/90/120/150 +20%BonusAD magic damage. Units can be hit by both effects, but this ability only procs his passive once regardless. Costs 40/45/50/55/60 HP, halved if a unit is hit by the blade and the attack crits.

E: Speed of Dark - Passively, Severeth gains 30/35/40/45/50% movement speed while outside of combat and while outside of obvious enemy vision. (This is not disabled by non-visible enemy units). Actively, Severeth becomes camouflaged for 3/3.5/4/4.5/5 seconds and gains the passive movement speed regardless of vision (still requires being out of combat). The 40 HP cost of this ability is taken 10 seconds after the ability is used, and this has a 28/26/24/22/20 second cooldown which is reset on champion takedown.

R: Become The New - Severeth swarms with dark energies, gaining size and attack range (225) and dealing 40/50/60 +10%AD physical damage to nearby enemies (250 range) every second for 10 seconds. During this time, each of his abilities becomes free and gain additional effects. This ability has no cost and has a 120/90/60 second cooldown, which decays twice as fast while out of combat, but the cooldown only starts when the ability ends.

Q: This ability deals full damage instantly if the attack crits. W: Severeth dashes behind the last champion hit by this ability. E: The movement speed is granted continuously (regardless of vision or combat) and the first 2 seconds of the active are replaced with invisibility. R: Activating again will consume the greater of 15% current HP or 8% max HP to deal 80/120/160+LostHP physical damage to all enemy units within 450 units. This has no cooldown, but a 0.2 second cast time. This can be used while moving.

I went through the effort to create an example voice pack for the guy. Obviously, there will probably be more lines added and I doubt I would actually voice the guy, but here you go.

Hum hum hum, quite the interesting fellow, this Severeth. For some reason I am made to envision some manner of cross between Tryndamere and Aatrox, although perhaps with a slightly older look to him.

Comes across as a pretty solid Fighter sort of character building, like Tryndamere and Aatrox, more into damage than survivability, despite Severeth lacking the protections those two champions fall back on when doing so (in particular Tryndamere's Undying Rage and Aatrox's Blood Well). That said, not every champion has reliable defensive options to fall back on when building damage out the ass. The likes of Veigar, Vel'Koz, Renekton, and Draven come to mind as being other examples of champions whose most effective defensive option is "kill them before they kill you first." On the other hand, they all have something they can pretend is a self-peel (Veigar's Event Horizon, Vel'Koz's Tectonic Disruption, Renekton's Fury-boosted Ruthless Predator, Draven's Stand Aside), despite it having only shoddy ability as such. Severeth lacks anything of that manner, outside of using Speed of Dark's active as an escape, but that isn't really a bad thing. It just means that, since he's so likely to not get away if he starts a fight, balancing can let him have more absurd damage output to compensate, similarly to Master Yi, who can only run away with his Highlander. That's good though; it means there's counterplay available. Namely, "bait him into a bad fight and watch him have to rely on Flash to get away."

Gameplay-wise, I imagine Severeth functions roughly in the manner of a roaming laner. Where most roaming laners are either supports or midlaners, Severeth, as per his stats, seems more like a roaming toplaner, which is a unique and strange concept. The toplane is reserved for those champions who can be trusted to hold their own without help (hence the saying that toplane is an island) in the rather-optimistic hope that as the game goes on they may be left alone in a far lane to apply pressure while the rest of the team groups. This is why the meta dictates the toplaners bring teleport (so they can join the team from their expected position of "somewhere else entirely") and are either tanks (whose survivability means they are harder to bring down through much of the game, resisting being shut down by ganks that need a lot of resources to reliably kill them) or duelists (who can consistently win a 1v1 fight at most stages of the game, demanding more than one person be sent to answer their pushing pressure). Severeth's kit and passive especially make him a competent duelist, though not among the best since that would be a bit much.

As such, Severeth can use the areas on his Strike From Below and Doom Blade to clear the minion waves while building Down Under. This enables him to push waves harder than most toplane champions, and then he may roam to the middle lane with his Speed of Dark and attempt a gank, or else simply wander into the enemy jungle for wards or to swipe a camp or two. If his lane opponent tries trading with him, they must choose an opportune moment, because if Severeth is managing his passive, he can have a nice juicy crit ready to throw at their face for their troubles. That said, if Severeth is mismanaging his passive, he can easily be out-traded. Even in a standing fight, if his opponent chooses the moment wisely, Severeth can be torn to ribbons since Strike From Below can be walked out of quickly (Severeth most likely wouldn't build something like a Rylai's, and even if the slow from something like a Frozen Mallet applied to it may champs have their own dashes) and Doom Blade can be sidestepped. Dedicated armor and health can let an enemy tank or even bruiser fight through Become the New and still emerge victorious.

In teamfights proper, Severeth would probably only be really good for throwing his Strike From Below and Doom Blade liberally into the melee, and then just hacking at someone nearby. If the fight turns out won he can pursue and finish stragglers with the reset on Speed of Dark, or else use that ability to ditch a bad fight. Not particularly useful when it comes to peeling or reaching priority targets, but he does bring extra damage to the table, anyway. About as impactful as a Renekton or Nasus can be expected to be in a fight, although in a more AoE way.

All in all, an interesting case of a roam-focused toplaner, whose function is to ram his lane in and then help his midlaner get ahead. Doing so enables the jungler to focus on ganking for the bot lane instead, creating overall a snowball chance in two lanes at the price of one. A curious concept but one not very much implemented currently. It would certainly be filling a strange new role. Quinn and one or two others can also be considered roaming toplaners, but since Quinn doesn't do so very much before level 6, that can be considered more like roaming to keep lanes steady, not roaming to start early snowballs the way Talon does. In Severeth can be given a look and personality that's also nice and unique, he'd be a great new addition to the roster. He throws in all his cards to snowball the rest of his team early. If it works he wins before late game sets in. If it doesn't, he falls off by being a nonentity in teamfights and being an exceptionally weak split-pusher who almost always has to yield ground when someone answers his pressure.

That's how I'm seeing it, anyway, perhaps you meant it differently. Also: when Strike From Below crits, is every tick of it considered a crit? If Doom Blade crits, are both parts of it considered a crit? Can Become the New crit, and if it does, does it crit everyone in range?
