Swain rework [concept]

Hi, I would like to share my idea for Jericho's Swain rework in hope Riot can take some inspiration from this.

I wanted to put some "Grand general" theme into him and thus make his kit based on strategy, positioning, commanding and zone control without changing his spell themes much.

I have two versions of suggestions, I hope you will like it and most impportantly that I get some feedback in the comments, simple downvotes don't tell me anything.

So, Jericho Swain, The Master Tactician.

First of all, there are two abilities I would keep the same, passive, which gives Swain good sustain, and W, which just works perfectly, synergises good with his kit and I would say is core to the champion himself, because the pun "Nevermove" is just perfect. Another core element of Swain is the raven-morfing. This is thing I would keep on his ult, which I would let working the similiar way. In my opinion the healing system feels little bit clunky, which could be fixed by removing the crows which are flying between Swain and the enemy and replace them with like a small circle around Swan which drains health of three random nearby enemies (prioritizing champions).

Now I got a room left for my ideas for Q and E, this is Version 1:

P - Carrion Renewal: Swain regenerates Mana and Beatrice Health each time he kills a unit. This amount increases each level.

Q - Beatrice: Swain's raven Beatrice always flies with him (pet). Swain can control her by pressing the Q key. Beatrice has X (+X% bonus HP) Health and her basic attacks deal X (+X% AP) magic damage (melee). Beatrice cannot leave too far from Swain, if so, she'll automatically stay on it's border following Swains movement.

If killed, Beatrice has her own deathtimer (increasing as Swain levels up).

E - Torment: Swain afflicts his target, dealing damage to them over time. Beatrice gains high spellvamp (c.a. 80%) against afflicted target.

Commentary: This version might be pretty hard to use to and actually hard to control, since the player has to kite not only with Swain, but even with Beatrice. Exchange for that is in constant and safe harass.

Version 2:

Q - Beatrice: Swain moves Beatrice into the target location, where she deals X (+X% AP) magic damage on the arrival and then stays in the location, dealing X (+X% AP) (less) magic damage over time. She has X (+X% bonus HP) Health. If she leaves Swain's range, she'll return on his shoulder again, where she becomes untargetable and invulnerable and slowly regenerates Health.

E - Torment/Shelter: On enemy cast: Swain afflicts his target, dealing damage to them over time and causing them to take increased damage from Swain and Beatrice. Beatrice gains high spellvamp (c.a. 60%) against afflicted target.

On self cast: Beatrice returns on Swains shoulder, where she becomes untargetable and invulnerable and slowly regenerates HP. Swain gains decaying movement speed buff upon her arrival.

Commentary: In this version think about Beatrice the similiar way as about Orianna's ball. This version is more zoning-focused and I dare to say safer and simpler, but also less threatening and more easily kiteable. Aditionally Beatrice loses her kiting potentional and thus is more open to take damage, so it's more focused on decision making, but also has more safe way to regenerate her Health.

Summary: So this is it. In my opinion these versions of Swain provide more in-game experience, would be fun to play, pretty distinct and would fulfill what people expect from "Master Tactician", he's got someone to command to, he's centered around strategical use of zone control with many zoning tools (including himself in his ultimate). I hope you liked this and if you did, please support this idea. <3

PS: My last suggestion is dedicated to Swains recall animation: Swain magically generates a projection of some battleground, looks through it pensively, then moves some objects in it with a wave of his hand and enemy object in the projection shatters. Swain takes pleased pose.

EDIT: I did some typing reparations and clarifications of the spells. On my defense, I was pretty tired when I was making this post. :'D

I really like swain as he is. I go top and build roa, liandries, and then tank

Hey, Main Swain here, You have my pleasure for your good effort heh.

I think Beatrice should be a key gameplay element when you play as Swain. So the Q you designed is a good start. I prefer the first one because the other is very similar to Ori's Q as you said.

Your Beatrice skill design left a big room for more potential synergic skills design. It would be a waste if you stop at his Q and E. Beatrice should be involved in every skill of Swain including his passive. The only skill I would left untouched is his signature ultimate (a bit of adjustment is acceptable).

i like the concept for a pet Beatrice, but swain kinda feels lame, when i first started playing him i thought everything about him was rad, but his ability's aren't flashy, they don't feel like I'm doing anything, essentially i feel like I'm mashing keys in an order and poof i got a kill.

I think swains ability's and classic skin need to be reworked, the concepts of the ability's are "fine" in a sense.

unless you have tyrant swain, _you don't think swain as the leader of Noxus _, he just seems like a decrepit, weak, old... HOLY SHIT HE'S A DEMON BIRD, that is what makes swain a bad ass. Every one is like "he sucks" "lol everyone counters swain" then you just "morph beneath them" taunt and throw a joke to add insult to injury .

but his ability's and his combo's don't have a similar feeling to his ult, they work nice, do what they are meant to do kill things , but they are lackluster.

PS. {{summoner:17}} why is this still a thing
