You can tell Riot doesn't understand what Mordekaiser does......
...when the master of metal has a Q ability called Mace of Spades and they make him a King of Clubs skin.

(Riot KateyKhaos) In the case of Ace of Spades Ezreal, we felt that although he had a skin fairly recently, he was a good personality fit for the playing card skins. There's a saying 'cocky as the king of spades' and we felt that Ezreal's personality really fell into the spades suit. Buy why not Mordekaiser - he's got a skill called Mace of Spades! We did consider Mordekaiser for this spot, but ultimately decided that the clubs suit would make for better shape language in regards to his weapon.
Mostly likely their designs for a Spade weapon looked like shit.
You can tell players don't understand the design process when calling out Riot on perceived mistakes.
No, he just is playing blackjack, and has two cards.
