Pink Ward Slot (In response to "late game pink wards, issue")

I'm completely in agreement with this idea. Dealing with stealth champions late game really is a pain when you have a full item build but no room for a pink ward. My only comment about this is that it the slot would have to open fairly late in the game around 20-30 min mark just because having right from the start feels a little unfair for those the stealth champions early game.

I miss being able to upgrade the trinket to a pink ward.

But won't that just completely negate any viability of stealth champions? if theres a dedicated slot for a pink ward theres no reason people won't buy them meaning stealth champions lose a large part of their kit. I see why it's a good idea though as it can get super annoying to have to choose between a final item or countering stealth champions.

I like the two dots (indicating you've got two wards available). If it was in-game I'd also like the icon to dim if I don't have any wards.

I 100% support a slot for vision - I don't see the counterargument that slot limitation on vision is an interesting aspect of gameplay or adds anything to the game.

That said, you could also map shift+(number) to toggle a ward slot or sightstone between placing pink and green wards, to save you a slot if you want to have both.

I can't help but agree with Orange, this would be beneficial to all of us. It would have other effects as well, such as more cooperation with vision control/denial.

Personally, I feel this implementation is not "unfair" towards stealth champions and it would not negate the viability of them as all this does is add an extra slot for vision wards. Vision wards by itself has always been a counter to stealth and making a slot for it only allows the usage for it late game (when you have a full build).

Stealth can really be a problem late game as your carry can die almost instantaneously because an assassin pops out of nowhere and kills them and from there it's almost as if it's a lost team fight. Think of it this way, if you were the ADC, this atleast creates some sort of counter-play to assassins, rather than hoping your teammates will quickly react and peal for you in the few seconds you will die in as you can't really rely on teammates on solo queue.

sacrifice vision for full build. get over it. how much more op do you want to be? to the point where no one plays stealth champs ever again? jesus.

Or bring back Pink Trinket. Please Riot.

It's too easy of a fix so that means riot won't do it

This was suggested over 6 months ago during the preseason lmao. Riot doesn't care.

They even addressed the fact that this was an issue (and still didn't do anything about it).

I've always felt that a clear and well defined utility tree should have a vision ward slot available as a high level talent purchase. The problem is that we no longer have a well defined and unique utility tree anymore. Something along the lines of... "Vision wards now cost only 60g and go into a unique inventory slot."

I like it but it might be 2 much. They could just bring back the pink wards trinket. Also lets make ruby sightstone not shitty add 300 gold to the combination cost and give it a passive that reads. This champion may have 1 additional pink ward on the rift. (2) total at a time. Badda Bing badda boom.

And also, if this happens, then give support the ability to carry around more fucking wards so that we don't have to deal with 5 enemies with pinks and sweepers clearing out the wards they just placed

Please riot, you can't really expect us to forsake an item slot just to counter all the stealth champs that have been running rampant since the vision changes started. You created this problem when oracle's elixer was removed from SR, and only made it worse by updating the trinkets and completely removing the pink ward trinket upgrade, which may have been too strong yes, but now the game is practically lost if you're against a jungler like eve because it's impossible to keep everything warded when the TEAM as a WHOLE can only place one vision ward each, which becomes maybe one or two max as the game progresses thanks to them needing to buy items. Having a stealth champ in a team now vastly increases the odds of them winning because of how incredibly difficult it is to play against them now. I understand stealth needed to be stronger since it used to be that going stealth was useless, but now stealth is crazy, and having a good eve on a team just completely puts the odds on their favor thanks to that one pick. Not to mention the fact that vision wards are now visible and have less health, which makes them simple to just clear away, and most of the time, it's difficult to prevent it. Either bring back to SR or give us a pink ward slot to make things slightly more bearable late game.

This other post on boards leads me to believe that the issue is not only promoting spamming stealth, but also toxicity.

I just wish that they would bring back the old pink ward upgrade. That worked wonderfully.

what about a consumable slot instead? pretty much the same thing but works with other consumables like pots and elixirs, would make a little more flexible and interesting. nevertheless still a great idea

to be fucking honest, it's just a disgrace they reworked the trinket system, it was such a healthy, fair and diversified aid to vision control. But Riot wants everyone to not have a disadvantage if they forget to upgrade their trinkets. Well, if you keep forgetting to upgrade/change trinkets you deserve to be bad.

If this idea were to be implemented, then shouldn't there be some kind of compensation for champs that rely heavily on stealth? (e.g. Evelynn, shaco, twitch, etc..)

I feel if the whole team were able to have pink wards at their disposable throughout the entire game, then these champs would practically become useless as stealth is what makes these champions.
