The Age of the Protectorates and the Magelords

Hi There! I don't know if anyone knows much about the Protectorates and the Magelords, but they were a race bent on war with each other before Demacia and Noxus were empires founded in Valoran. I was wondering if anyone knew much information about the two cultures (aside from what is in the League Wiki) because I am trying to get a base knowledge on these two races.

The Protectorate, whose symbol was the Stag, is found in the Summoner's Rift map and represents the Blue Side of the Rift. The Magelords, whose symbol is the Owl, is also found in the map to represent the Red Side of the Rift. There is definitely a potential to explain some history there, and I would love to see it!

There is also an etching or carving of aatrox on one of the walls in the new SR somewhere.

Is it confirmed that those 2 sides are the magelords and protectorate? Because I'm pretty sure that's just a theory

right now the lore related to the rune wars (and above events) is still a bit blurry.....we more or less got a glimpse of what happened thanks to Ryze 's rework. but still...we dont know how far in the past was that. he could be even older than Jax whom which his short story seem to indicate a far more older civilization than Shurima itself.

a timeline of Runeterra's history would be a good thing to have but i guess there's so much stuff remaining to be explained that we cant set the history of the world at least at a basic lvl.

we also have to take in account that Aatrox is a mythical figure as much as Kindred , Bard and TahmKench so those two factions could be even older than the Rune Wars themselves.
