Damage needs to be applied by a tangible medium. Does he have a red flashlight that makes his enemies mad? How does the color blue cause sadness? Does his yellow flashlight have a smiley face on it? Does he throw brown rocks?
To rephrase, Garen hurts his enemies with sharpness. The medium of transfer is a sword.
How does the "aspect of the colors" manifest itself?
