Lore: The Serpent’s Slither. The very name of that ship alone will strike fear into even the saltiest of sea dogs. It is a cursed ship, one whose chilling grip will doom it's handler to wander the seas as a half man-half demon. Any captain who tried to abandon her found themselves tormented by an overwhelming withdraw. Feelings worse than some of the most addictive substances in Bilgewater. Needless to say, the curse tends to make a man rather fowl in both the mind and the tongue.

Sir Arthur Penton, however was not detoured by this. His only lot in life was to die a wealthy man, and no crew knew how to real in the booty like the Serpent's crew. And while he and the ships captain were often at each other's throats there was no denying that he was becoming very rich very fast. One day though, the captain snapped. Fed up with the sea life, he announced that he was gonna gut every last crewman on the ship, then bite the blade himself. He gave everyone on board only a single second to jump ship before the slaughter, but Penton took advantage of that instant time span and ran the captain through. With the dying man's final breath he proclaimed Penton the new captain of the Serpent's Slither, and with the promotion came the curse.

The Slither's crew changed over night. Once known throughout Bilgewater for unrelenting cruelty. Their silver flag became a sign of good fortune on the waters. The new captain Sir Pent kept his men hale and hearty. He always had a few extra rations, and he always took a bribe. By leading his crew with wisdom, cunning, and respect he quickly made a name among the other captains. He was loyal to as many allies as he could grab, but none more so than Captain Gangplank, whom he personally forged an alliance with, by presenting the man with a gift without equal. His first carton of Blood Oranges.

Aww, he looks so young and bright-eyed!!

;p

I like his style - focusing more on messing with enemies and buffing allies than really being a threat on his own. I feel like the passive's a bit up in the air, however, as certain items are far more likely to generate gold than others. The item 3301 set, for example, grants it every time a minion dies in lane; whereas item 3401's set - the tank set, I might add - is far more spread out.

It may be good to define which items work and/or to what degree. Or set a cap based on time and/or gold earned through item uses. This way, players can buy all the support items - instead of just focusing on the two best ones.
