Why not use the base skeleton for it to make Teemo more of a yordle and less of a tubby ball of fluff with stump legs? Sort of like how Goal Keeper Maokai was released and then the rest of his skins got brought up to a similar visual quality.

Like, I know this would probably be more complicated than it sounds but honestly I thought the O.S. Teemo teaser was hinting at his VU/relaunch. Personally it feels like the new skin is more Teemo than normal in game Teemo when you look at his lore :/. I know he has Texture updates on the PBE but he's still a weird little stump of animation; like he actually levitates his blow gun around his hands if you look closely.

Because with a new skeleton and rigging for his skins, they would need to create a new models for EACH skin, and not to mention that Omega Squad Teemo's animations would just be the same as for the other skins, making it less unique and more homogenized.

At one point he will get a VU, but he's not in very much need of one, as he looks alright (even got texture updates which looks great on PBE), but for now other champions such as Taric, Poppy and Anivia needs updating more than he does.

Yeah fair enough I guess. I'm just torn right now is all because Teemo is fun to play but he's a potato with legs. I have the RP sitting in my account so I'm thinking I might just end up getting the skin. Become a crazy commando like Teemo was meant to be. Those stealth animations are just too cool...

Amumu is kind of in the same place if you ask me... He's a little greenish orb with legs in-game. I think the texture updates will probably take care of things until a VU rolls around, though. Yordles in general have gotten much better in quality as of late imo.

That's sort of what was irking me. Like Yordles are just getting really cool now and I love them, and O.S. Teemo actually brings Teemo up on the quality bar with actually looking like a yordle. The new model is great, and I caved into getting the skin yesterday since it's theme is just too great to ignore. To me, O.S. Teemo is Teemo now :I

is this skin only available for a limited amount time then going into the vault?

Nope. Only skins that are associated with certain events go straight to Legacy, and even then that's a pretty rare occurrence. This is just a normal, run-of-the-mill legendary skin.
