Sorry, I didn't know where exactly to put this because it's not exactly a skin idea/concept.

But I really think Classic Udyr needs a VU. He runs so awkwardly, and wears this... Just compare him with a champion like Rengar; when Rengar runs he looks like what he is: a ferocious beast capable of pouncing on you (which he does) at any moment, versus Udyr, who looks pretty much like a locked-in stick man wearing a huge brown dress and some fur, who just runs up to you and punches you repeatedly. Not really fitting compared to Rengar, although they would both appear to be rather ferocious Jungle dwellers.

Granted, SG Udyr is (I think widely) regarded as one of the nicest skins in the game (it definitely doesn't have this problem), but it is extremely expensive for a skin.Yet: Blackbelt has fully the same "awkwardness problem" as Classic Udyr. Primal has more fluid movement, but the textures are just god-awful, which is a shame because it's a good skin concept. Really overall, the textures for his older skins are pretty awful and this is also a big contributor to their awkward looks.

Definitely Not Udyr doesn't seem to have the same problem due to the skin being silly and odd-looking by nature so the stick man movement fits in with the theme.

Nonetheless, I beg of you Rito, please hear me out on this and help me out.

You want to talk about Awkward Running? You should take a look at Shen

When he walks, it looks like he took a shit in his pants and is now trying to walk without smearing it too much.

Udyr, as far as I recall, is unchanged from when he launched as the very first post-release champion. Some texture updates, and yeah newer skins have better modeling and animations, but Udyr's base model and his old skins are basically five years old at this point.

They'd rather you fork over for his ultimate skin to get the VU, they're going to stall this as long as humanly possible to take your $$$.

Same with how only PFE has updated particles, if you want cool new beams for Ezreal, you have to fork over $30.

They're going to keep pumping out 750 skins for Ezreal to increase demand for PFE. It's bs.

If you ask me, Spirit Guard Udyr should be his basic skin and Riot could make a different Ultimate skin for him.

The issue is that Udyr has 4 skins including his base. Each of those skins have 5 stances. Even ignoring SGU and maybe Definitely Not Udyr, that's still 15 skins that need to be updated. On top of that, they need to try and preserve his old look enough that people don't cause a shit storm (see Trundle and Karma ) while still getting rid of the things that make him look bad (don't play Udyr to know what the complaints with him are). It's no wonder why Riot doesn't want to tackle this when there are other old champions that need VUs that don't require a massive amount of work.

I'm not asking to change/update particles; I never said anything about that. Really I think his textures could be redone and that would be good enough for me (for now), and I doubt this would take away very much from the appeal of SGU.
