Proposed Aatrox Rework

I read a thread about how Aatrox is currently weak, and needs a rework or buff at least, which I definitely agree with. So, I came up with the following concept for a rework. Let me know what you guys think.

I think an awesome way to rework him which is in line with his lore is to make him into a sort of Aura-Support-Fighter, with one, maybe two abilities similar to Sona's (AoE buff/debuff in a radius around him). This type of rework could make him ultra viable in an assortment of roles including support. For example: (keep in mind the numbers are pretty much just place holders)

Passive: Blood Well - Keep the attack speed buffer for missing HP, perhaps keep the second life passive as well but I think it is less in line with the rest of my proposed kit. I'm not sure what to replace it with though. Maybe some sort of lifesteal. Q: Dark Flight - this is one of Aatrox's stronger abilities, I think this one could be kept for initiation/peel of sorts W: Blood Sacrifice/Blood Blessing - Passive: for every 10% missing HP Aatrox has, he grants nearby allies 3/6/9/12/15 (+X% bonus armor & MR) armor and magic resistance (including himself). Active: Aatrox consumes his current Blood Well to replenish his HP by 20/40/60/80/100 (+1 for every point of "HP" in his well) and slows and/or damages enemies in a radius around him. The armor and magic resist aura does not apply while the active is on cooldown. E: Blades of Torment - Aatrox slashes in a cone in front of him, dealing damage and applying grievous wounds to enemies hit. Allies within the AoE cone gain 5/8/12/16/20% decaying movement speed for 2 seconds. R: Massacre - I think his ult is an extremely strong combat buff, I don't have a proposed replacement but I think it could work well unchanged.

The increased utility is balanced out by the fact that he lost a large damage and sustain source which was his old W

From what I heard, Aatrox was originally designed as a sustain-based melee carry, like Tryndamere or Yasuo or Master Yi. The problem is that having both would make him essentially unbeatable, so he ends up as more of a generic tanky-bruiser.

I don't think he's weak, he just has an identity issue with his sort-of-everything kit. Making him into a real supportive fighter like Kayle would be a great change that fits his lore and identity.

As far as your proposed rework goes, I think giving offensive buffs to his allies would fit him better, lifesteal especially. I'm just worried it would be invisible power (which is not fun, and why Sona gets nerfed and reworked a lot).
