Why no slinger

We have a lot of different weapons in league but no slinger. If it's good enough for David it's good enough for me. I think this could easily be made cool you could have an adc or ap mid and it still make sense. As an adc I think high damage low attack speed with make sense due to constantly needing to reload the sling. But as an ap mid you could have a fire, ice or mid slinger and it all would make sense. What are your thoughts ?
