Where's the Galio Love?

Hello! I didn't really know where categorize this, but here it goes anyway. I've just been doing some casual thinking, and Galio came to mind. Now I remember I really love his concept, but his kit could be much better and is due for some sort of tweaking to at least not make him so niche, and more uh... accessible. So here are just a bunch of random ideas to maybe not make him so iffy.

Idea #1: He needs some sort of 'gap closer', right? It's only fair. My suggestion is maybe add something into Righteous Gust. Would it be overpowered if he 'barrel rolled' toward the direction he is going toward, and leave the lingering speed buff winds BEHIND himself? I wouldn't think so, since this just means his gap closer probably got him a similar distance forward just like gaining that speed buff for himself anyway, only faster. Plus, it is both solo and support friendly. Also! The speed buff would still be there for him to use if he needed to retreat from a mistake (or at least given half a chance).

Idea #2: His passive needs a little something. There were a couple of ideas for that. In addition to the ability power he gets from magic resistance thing, how about once every X seconds, Galio's next auto attack gains +X00 Range and deals extra Magic Damage equal to total accumulated Bonus Ability Power (not his total Ability Power, but ONLY the Ability Power granted from his passive) I'm not good at math, so maybe that would be a bad idea hahaha. It would do good in solo lanes and for poking as a support. For the theme? An alteration to the empowered auto attack. Instead of a set time, what about a simple 'Runic Skin Count' that behaves likes Annie's Passive; up whenever X stacks are built. Unlike Annie, he would gain stacks from ENEMY spells in the area much like Kassadin, only worse since it would work with enemy spell casts only. I just wanted to reserve his 'Anti-Mage Tank' identity, at least I think that's what it's supposed to be.

So, any thoughts? Opinions? Non-Flaming? Does anyone else even care about this gentle guy?
