The Fourth Darkin Was Here All Along!
Here we see Aatrox's right hand (left, its from the old splash art but it is roughly the same in the new model, just isn't shown in the reworked art) and Thresh's left hand (right). I have a theory based on the similarities of these two Champion's hands. It may not be much to go off of, but here's what I am thinking. I'm fairly certain I heard from a video by Necrit that it is possible one of the wells that seal the 5 remaining Darkin exists on the Shadow Isles, where Thresh comes from. My theory is that Thresh's chains/hook/lantern or all of them together are actually a Darkin weapon that the spirit (or whatever he is) Thresh took up. Similar to how Kayn can overpower and take control of the Darkin Scythe, I think Thresh overpowered and took control of the Darkin in the chains. Also, I know that when Kayn transforms he retains his human features, so the reason why Thresh would have a Darkin body is because maybe he was body less prior to taking control of the chains. Now what would be very cool if this were true would be for Riot to release a champion that is the full fledged Darkin counterpart to Thresh as a whole separate Champion. This wouldn't really make sense in game but who cares neither does Brand taking damage from red buff.
Additionally on a side note, I'd like to see maybe the fifth Darkin be a double sided Champion who is in a situation similar to Kayn and Rhaast but he can switch back and forth between Human and Darkin forms similar to Nidalee and Elise. Maybe the Darkin and person are less arrogant and stubborn and are in some kind of mutual agreement that they will be stronger fighting together. Anyways just ideas I had [slayer-jinx-catface]
took control of the Darkin chains exactly, given what happened with the whole blessed isles thing. dig Deeper into the lore and see if you can put something more together. Tighten the strings od this theory and weave them into a legendary tapestry!
