VoliBear rework potential, tell me what you think.
potential Volibear rework. keep his tanky engage but focus more on AOE and CC.
Passive: cold heart, Volibear will regenerate health while standing on frozen terrain. this kinda works like Garens passive but it works during battle he will regenerate something like 3% of his total hp every 5 seconds while standing on frozen terrain. Passive#2: ice shield, Volibear gains a shield equal to 30% of his max hp that will deteriorate over 10 seconds.
Q: Charge, works basically like his charge now but it will leave a trail of frozen tundra behind him that will proc his passive, slow enemies in it and deal some AP damage, second part is the flip when Volibear flips an enemy he will let out his roar fearing minions and making an area of frozen tundra around him. he also gains a lot of tenacity.
W: Bite, basically the same but it only scales with missing HP of the enemy. also can do more damage to Frozen enemies.
E: Ice pillar, Volibear will summon an ice pillar that will displace enemies and do AOE damage wile creating an area of frozen tundra around it. Volibear can recast it to switch places with it.
R: Ice storm. Volibear creates a giant blizzard around him that does Aoe damage, slows the enemy and applies frost-burn, Also creates frozen tundra around him. (passive) Frost burn enemies that are in Volibears frozen tundra will take damage over time that stacks up to five times, if an enemy gets five stacks of Frost burn that enemy will be frozen and take additional damage from volibears allies.
I'm shooting for a more engaging supportive tank he can do really well in the jungle with his hp regeneration but can also do well top or supp. The whole theme of an ice bear champ is cool but the lightning thing doesn't really fit his thematic. i think that focusing more on the ice aspect of his lore will make for a better themed champ. As for his kit you should really focus on his "get in there and eff stuff up" style he really shouldn't be doing a lot of damage and be tank-y but he could pick on or the other. i personally would go for more of an AP bruiser. building things like Rylize, ROA, Warmogs, and other items that focus on HP with a bit of AP.
Id like to know other peoples opinions on this. i think it would be a really fun concept to play around with.
