Demitrox - Archeon of War [Lore and Abilities - A Darkin Champion Concept]
Demitrox - Archeon of War
Lore: The elegance of war escapes those who do not appreciate it. The grace, the finesse; the art that is killing. There is no finer atonement for one's soul than purging your anger upon those who stand before you. When rivers run red and oceans become blood; then all will know who stood here once more.
Legend once told that the Darkin, a race on the brink of extermination, once stood at arms against foes like no other. The war was long and bloody, and was only brought back from the brink by a lone few fighters. The blood that decorated the battlefield was swallowed up by the cries of the few victorious survivors.
Yet the years went by and those who still remembered that day remember the darkness that hung at the fringes of everyone's minds. As the darkness of doubt and regret began to consume their minds, the Darkin became nomads; wandering what remained of the world and fleeing into legend.
Only five Darkin are known to remain. The former warrior Demitrox once stood proud and in full might; yet now only the pride and bloodlust remains of his former glory. As one of the last Darkin alive, he wanders throughout the world, seeking one last war to give him his final wish: A glorious death.
"Death is a means to an end; War is the end to all meaning. That's what makes it the sweetest atonement of all."
Abilities:
Passive: Crimson Purge Ability (Q): Into War Ability (W): Blood Barrier Ability (E): Rend and Release Ability (R): Atonement
Passive: Crimson Purge Passive
Demitrox's resource bar is replaced with blood, with a total 10/10 units. Every time a minion, monster, or pet dies within 650 units of Demitrox, he gains 1 stack in his blood meter instantly. The death of an allied or enemy champion within 650 units fills the blood meter instantly. When at 10 stacks, Demitrox's next basic attack or ability begins his purge: causing all of his auto attacks to cleave, dealing 30% damage in a 60 degree arc, and to gain 8/12/16/20% life steal until his blood meter runs out. The meter decays at 2 points per second, on every half second. Minion, monster, and pet deaths do not refresh the meter, but the deaths of enemy and allied champions will still increase the meter by half it's normal value. At the end of a Crimson Purge, Demitrox must wait 7/6/5/4 seconds until he can begin to gather blood again. Crimson Purge's cooldown timer is not affected by cooldown reduction.
Active (Q): Into War Line Skillshot/Small Area of Effect
First Cast: Demitrox slams his spear into the ground causing a fissure to open up and travel for 600 units in a line over 0.75 seconds, dealing 40/65/80/95/110 (+0.4 Attack Damage, +0.4 Ability Power) magic damage to all enemies struck and knocking them into the air for 1 second. In this time, Demitrox also knocks himself up into the air upon slamming the ground with his spear, becoming untargettable for the duration of the cast. Second Cast: Demitrox slams himself down into the ground at the current location of the fissure, taking all airborne targets (within a 250 Area of Effect of himself) down to the ground to deal 40/75/110/145/180 (+0.75 Attack Damage) physical damage and stun them briefly. If the target he strikes is not airborne, the damage to them upon striking the ground is only 20/50/80/110/140 (+0.5 Attack Damage) and does not stun. If Demitrox does not use his Second Cast in time after his first cast, he will slam back down at the location he leaped from.
Health Cost: 5.0/5.0/5.0/5.0/5.0% current health per cast. Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10 seconds.
Active (W): Blood Barrier Direction Cast
Active: Demitrox creates a barrier of blood that blocks projectiles and attacks from a direction for 0.75 seconds and absorbing them. At the end of the 0.75 seconds, Demitrox releases the barrier in a frenzy of 5 missiles in a 90 degree cone that travel up to 650 units. These missiles deal 30/50/70/90/110 (+0.35 Ability Power, 2.0/2.5/3.0/3.5/4.0% of maximum health) magic damage to the first enemy struck. If Demitrox is hit by an ability that would normally distrupt channeling or spellcasting (Stun, silence, immobilize, etc), or the damage consumed is greater than the health consumed to summon the barrier, the barrier will stay up for 0.75 second then crumble into dust instead of firing its missiles. Enemies can be hit by multiple missiles.
Health Cost: 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% of current health. Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 seconds.
Active (E): Rend and Release Passive/Area of Effect around Caster
Passive: Demitrox's every third strike now cleaves through a target, causing the first target behind the initial target to take 40/55/70/85/100% damage and applies on-hit effects. The cleave in Crimson Purge has it's damage increased to 40/50/60/70/80% damage. Active: Demitrox swings his spear in a wide circle around himself twice, dealing 40/60/80/100/120 (+0.35 Attack Damage, +0.25 Ability Power) physical damage for every strike. Those struck by the head of the spear take 125% damage and are slowed by 20% for 2 seconds, stacking up to twice. Kills and Assists while in a Crimson Purge reduces the cooldown of Rend and Release by 50% of it's maximum value.
Health Cost: 3.0/3.5/4.0/4.5/5.0% current health. Cooldown: 9.0/8.5/8.0/7.5/7.0 seconds.
Ability (R): Atonement Passive
Demitrox passively gains attack speed for every enemy he kills; minions cause a /0.05/0.15/0.25% permanent increase, enemy champion assists cause a 1.5/2.0/2.5% increase, and enemy champion kills grant 2.5/5.0/7.5%. This can only stack up to a maximum of 60/90/120%. Upon assisting or killing an enemy champion, Demitrox gains a burst of speed, causing him to attack at maximum attack speed that decays over 1.25 seconds. Upon killing an enemy champion, Demitrox causes his next basic attack to become a dash that can reach up to 400/500/600 units away for 95/110/125% damage. The permanent attack speed bonus only begins to stack after the first point is taken into it. Any minion kills before the first point was taken are not counted.
