Champion Kit Idea
I first thought of this idea when thinking back on an old MOBA that I used to play on my iPad called Heroes of Order and Chaos when I reminisced about the kit of my favorite hero. This hero's abilities scaled off of current mana somewhat similar to Ryze's abilities that scale off of maximum mana. I stared to wonder what it would be like to have a champion in League of Legends whose kit revolved around current mana. This is my first time posting any of my ideas so please excuse any flaws in my presentation of information.
Attack range: Melee (125~150 or so) Base attack speed: 0.6 Base attack speed per level coefficient: 1.25%
Passive (20 second cooldown):
Spells and attacks against enemy champions ~~~~steal 1% of their maximum mana + 1% of their current mana each second for 5 seconds.
Edit: Spells and attacks against enemy champions that use mana as a resource temporarily steals 10% of their maximum mana for 5 seconds converting it into a shield. If the shield persists through the duration, your enemy will have mana restored equal to the final shield value.
After 5 seconds you receive an attack speed boost equal to your ((current mana / maximum mana) * 50) for 5 seconds. If your enemy does not use mana as a resource or has less than 25% maximum mana, you will recieve no mana shield, instead the attack speed boost will trigger instantly.
Q (5 second cooldown between toggles)
(Toggle on): Basic attacks consume 6/7/8/9/10 percent if your current mana and deal bonus magic damage equal to the amount of mana consumed.
(Toggle off) Basic attacks restore 1% missing mana + 1% maximum mana in exchange for dealing half damage. Increases your attack speed by .6/.7/.8/.9/1.0 percent for every 1% missing mana.
Note: Damage caused by Q does not classify as an on hit effect and will not be affected by items such as Sated Devourer.
W (20 second cooldown) Passive: Grants 6/9/12/15/18 armor and magic resist
Active: Consumes 15/20/25/30/35 percent of your current mana to Grant a shield equal to the mana consumed and doubles the passive armor and magic resist for 6 seconds. This ability can be re-activated to remove the shield and bonus resistances and restore mana equal to (remaining shield value) * (remaining shield value / Original shield value). If not re-activated within 4 seconds the shield will decay to deal damage equal to (15/20/25/30/35 percent the value of the shield when decay begins + .5 AP) over the remaining duration (8 ticks, 1 per .25 seconds) in a large radius as long as the shield persists.
note: one tick causes the shield to decay (.125 * shield value 4 seconds after cast) regardless of damage received after that point. In other words, damage absorbed after the shield begins to decay can affect the number of ticks because the rate at which the shield decays remains constant.
E (10/9.5/9/8.5/8 second cooldown): Cost: 25% of your maximum mana over 5 seconds after cast.
Unleashes a short ranged blast of energy in a cone in front of you dealing up to (8/8.5/9/9.5/10 percent current mana + 0.3 AP + 1.0 AD) magical damage (enemies closest take the most damage) and slowing enemies by 35% for 3 seconds.
R (120/110/100 second cooldown) Cost: 35% maximum mana
For 15 seconds you sharpen your soul ignoring unit collision, gaining (30/40/50 + 0.5% missing mana) movement speed, 50/65/80 attack range, and 40/50/60 percent attack speed. Your basic attacks apply a 50% slow that decays over 0.2 seconds. Every basic attack against an enemy champion restores 10/15/20 percent of your maximum mana. Over the duration you heal for 15/25/35 percent of the mana restored. While active, basic attacks reduce the cooldown of other abilities by one second
Edit: For 3 seconds you enter a vulnerable meditative state. For 7/8.5/10 seconds after you emerge with newfound strength gaining a burst of shortly lived dominance. You receive(40 + 0.5% missing mana) movement speed, 70/85/100 attack range, and 30/35/40 percent attack speed. Your basic attacks apply a 50% slow that decays over 0.2 seconds. Every basic attack against an enemy champion restores 10/15/20 percent of your maximum mana. Over the duration you heal for 20/25/30 percent of the mana restored. While active, basic attacks reduce the cooldown of other abilities by one second.
Note: All buffs given by R continuously decay to 25% of their original value at the end of the duration.
