Ismael the Magic Blade
This is an idea a friend and I had when we discussed what a good hybrid champion might look like. Note we didn't go into super detail on numbers, but the general concept feels good.
Champ Description: Using the spell-sword archetype this champion sports a transformation style ultimate allowing him to shift between ranged and melee forms. In melee form he is meant to execute low heal targets, or at least disrupt a front line. In ranged form he is meant to deal mass poke damage while staying safe and looking for roams.
Passive: Spellsword- While in caster form this champion gains %bonus AD as AP. While in melee form this champion gains %AP as bonus AD.
Caster form; Q-Shadowflame: releases a blast of fire in a large cone in front of himself dealing 40-60-70-120-150+(1.00AP) as magic damage and placing a burnt marker on enemy champions hit lasting 4 secs W-Fwoosh(couldn't think of name):Ignite the burnt marker on enemy champions dealing .5AP+(%missing health) as magic damage over 3-5-7-8-9 seconds and reducing their movement speed by 20% for 3 sec E-portal: Creates a portal at target location withing 200 units. Creating two portals allows Ismael to travel between them on a 8 sec cooldown. Max 2 portals, new portals replace old, can be destroyed by enemies standing on them, unlimited teleport range (place a portal top lane and one bottom and travel back and forth) R-Draw/Sheath: Switch to melee form by drawing sword gaining new abilities.
Melee form; Q-Execute: Deals %missing health+(.7)ad as physical damage. If this kills the target the cooldown is reset else the cooldown is 15-12-10-8-8. W-Blade flurry: Release a flurry of stabs dealing 10-30-50-70-110+(.3)ad as physical damage in front of you. Also reduces enemy armor by 5-10-15-20-25% Deals reduced damage to enemies behind other targets and does not apply armor shred. (Basically this is to soften a front line up while not being OP to hurting a full team of 5) E-Shadow walk: Become untargetable for 2-3-4-5-6 seconds (or until you deal dmg) and avoid unit collision. Also gain 15% increased movement speed for 1 second after entering shadowalk. R-Draw/Sheath: Switch to caster form by sheathing your blade and gaining new abilities.
Overall we felt something along this line would make for a decent hybrid champion as both AP and AD are equally desirable and building one doesn't lock you out of another because of the passive. Again this is just a rough concept so go easy on the "There is no CD there! The per lvl scaling is shit!"
