Case File #24601: Kretchmann Fegelein:
Date: Januari 21st, 19 Years after Creation
Location: Apartment HK-15, Room #004, East Piltover District
Time of Death: 2:31 AM Piltover Standard Time
Cause of Death: Cause yet to be determined. Multiple lacerations to lower abdomen, intense swelling in the chest cavity, missing part of left frontal lobe, skin hemorrhaging due to unknown substance injected during time of death.
Crime Scene Analysis: Victim was found sprawled over the floor in the dining hall, tables and chairs overturned, smashed chandelier in the living room, traces of arsenic poison found in stains in the kitchen, graffiti painted over the walls of the victim’s bedroom: “WHATS YOURS IS MINE.”, victim’s bedroom file cabinets were raided, missing documents from folders, “Who is the C Killer?”, “H.I.V.E Case: Twitch”, and “H.I.V.E Case: Jinx”.

Due to the cause of missing files taken from the victim’s cabinet, the purpose of Kretchmann’s death was to confiscate all links towards any criminal activity located in Piltover. H.I.V.E Targets “Twitch” and “Jinx” had been under close surveillance by Kretchmann, as ordered by the Chief Justice of H.I.V.E. Linked cases Kretchmann had studied on the criminals was “Case File #0115: The Piltover Treasury Robbery” and “Case File #430: Arsenic Poisoning of West Piltover Water Supply”. Both cases served as a correlation between the two criminals, as they occurred on the exact day, but at different time intervals. A few days after the murder, Kretchmann was dated to present his findings to the Board of Directors, as the private investigator had found the hideouts of both “Twitch” and “Jinx”. The murder was intended to make sure Kretchmann never gave out the evidence.
Kretchmann had been in contact with a suspected figure that is a possibility to the identity of the criminal classified as “C”. After investigating a bus crash that left nine people injured, Kretchmann noticed “a strange man in a dark trenchcoat” casually overlooking the crime from a dark alleyway. A chase ensued, but Kretchmann was left with a dead end. A calling card was in the alleyway, decorated with another ornate “C”. However, under the C lay a series of intricate numbers. The numbers have yet to be deciphered.

Actions Taken:
Thorough analysis of the crime scene has been extended for three days. Kretchmann’s body has been taken to the morgue for a second autopsy, to confirm the true cause of death. Increased surveillance of the East Piltover District has been implemented for further security.
Field Notes:
All files related to this case are classified Charlie Delta Echo, and must be reported to the Chief Amanuensis no later than their time of discovery. Confiscating documents without further permission of H.I.V.E officials is subject towards a life sentence in the Piltover State Prison perjury. Kretchmann’s office has been closed towards all faculty members except by high-ranking officials with Level Echelon Clearance.

Kretchmann: -whistles to the tune to “Ride of The Valkyries”, not paying attention to the interviewer’s questions-
Interviewer: Um, sir? Are you ready to begin?
Kretchmann: Hrm? –stops whistling- Oh, Ja, sorry! Mein Gott, I really have to start paying attention…

Kretchmann: I gave you an answer. Did I not verbally respond to unt questionnaire?
Interviewer: That is correct. But, the answers you said did not match the criterion for any normal interviewing application.

Kretchmann: When I virst vas visited by one of unt city officials, Mein Gott, I thought I was in some serious trouble. This group…unt H.I.V.E… I had never heard of such clandestine agencies in Piltover.

Kretchmann: And, Piltover is in need of lawmakers smart enough to handle all situations.
Interviewer: And, you think your intelligence fits that description.
Kretchmann: Does it not?
Interviewer: I’m going to ask you one more question.
Kretchmann: Fire away.
Interviewer: There is a power possessed that is greater than the Gods. There is an evil possessed that is darker than the Shadow Isles. It is more powerful than the Mayor of Piltover. What is it?
Kretchmann: Nothing.
Interviewer: I’m sorry?
Kretchmann: Nothing can compete with zhe power of unt Gods. No evil is darker than unt Shadow Isles. And, Piltover has no leader more powerful than unt Mayor of Piltover.
Interviewer: Why?
Kretchmann: H.I.V.E. Zhey protect the public. Zhey burn down zhe heretics that wish to cause chaos. Zhey are the peacekeepers in the dark. And, like ghosts, zhey are never there. Alvay’s vurking, alvays hiding, alvays protecting…

Interviewer: You passed, Mr. Fegelein. From now on, you are now a Private Investigator for the H.I.V.E Espionage Branch. You are not to reveal your job to anyone. You have no friends, no connections, no ties to this organization whatsoever. You are expendable, and will be replaced if lost. And, above all, you will regard the law as you highest duty above all. At approximately 2:45 AM in Piltover Standard Time, Kretchmann Fegelein’s has been found missing from the Piltover Morgue. No record of how it was recovered is determined at this moment, but first-hand accounts show that there was a sudden struggle in the storage room. No morticians or embalmers were harmed inside the Morgue, but they were unaware about the raid that happened in the storage room. More details to be released to H.I.V.E officials through the given time.
Storage room is currently under lockdown until further use. Analysis indicates that the perpetrator was dragging the body out of storage, then tried to pick it up. However, boot marks indicate another perpetrator came in and fought the first perpetrator for the body. Blood samples have been collected from stains and droplets located near the storage area, and have been sent to the labs for preliminary DNA identification. The body was then dragged out of the morgue, coinciding with the fleshy skid located in Hallway A, which leads downstairs towards the Garage. The perpetrator was then seen fleeing in a Hextech Motorized Transport, heading back towards the East Piltover District.
Case Number #24601 now put under Defense Security Level 1. All available and active personnel are to return to duty immediately and await further instructions. East Piltover District will commence a mass lockdown, initiating federal curfew, increased security patrols, and martial law will take effect three days after this incident.
