Riot is charging RP for Captain Gangplank when they awarded it to players for free

Riot games this is unacceptable. Why the fuck are you charging RP for a skin of the original gangplank model just with a different name? I got this skin as a mystery gift from you for free for playing the damn champion during the event, why are you charging RP for a product that should be completely free when you buy the champion in the first place? The skin is literally just his old classical skin, just named differently and with a price tag on it! If you're doing this for Gangplank why didn't you do it with Trundle? Why isn't Trundle's old classical skin 975 RP in the shop? I'll tell you why: It's because you want to make an extra couple bucks on re-hashing old skins that SHOULD NOT be sold as a new product when it's not even close to new.

It was part of the event... this is also not a "Traditional" skin. How the hell do they give out an event skin for playing in the event, and you still have demands? So greedy...

dude, if you partook in the event, you would have seen that they made a story out of GP, meaning his classic is now the post GP, the capt GP is the pre GP and you got it for free for partaking in the event.

To a slim extent, I get why you're upset. That doesn't mean I agree, I just see why you would think how you do.

Captain Gangplank was never really intended to be Gangplank's base skin. It was for a time to play along with the event, leading into the release of his VU, and giving Gangplank owners/players as a reward for participating in the event, kind of like how during the Pool Party event, players could unlock rewards within certain tiers to get a free Pool Party Mundo skin, although this didn't mean that those who didn't participate in the event got the skin: if they wanted it, they had to pay for it as normal.

The funny thing is it's not even his classic look from before the rework like how Trundle, Karma, or Sejuani have. No idea what OP is even saying when bringing that up. I think he confused the fact we temporarily got to use the skin during the event and unlocked it by playing as him. Everyone who missed out still has a chance now by buying it. It's nice to still offer it. Not like the classic skins OP brought up.

You're RIGHT! In fact, why can't I get the Urf Warwick skin even though, once upon a time, it was worth a measly 1 RP? Why don't we automatically own Trist and Alistar and their free skins? Why do people have to PAY for a SKIN when no one cared about paying for skins before?

if you wanted it for free you shouldve bought him then played him complaining about not participating on something they told players about is stupid
