So the new summoner skill would be called Dead Eye.

It will make all of your skills and attacks only hit on the target you used dead eye on and ignore other targets. For example if you used Quinn's q ability then it would not proc on the minion, but it would proc and hit the blind on whom you used dead eye on. This may make it a little too op, but if the skills and attacks would do splash damage or damage to any other enemies then it would do a 10% of that damage as true damage after a delay. Note: it does not make your skills homing, skill shots will still be skill shots, but deal damage only to the person designated Dead Eye on. A duration of 30 seconds would seem to be fair. It would be a range as long as the scrying orb totem, its called Dead Eye for a reason.

Why do I think this is necessary? It would actually give a power boost to Champs like Karthus and Blitzcrank Can you imagine a Karthus hitting Q's with the increased damage and his defile, negated splash damage in trade for true damage that gets taken away from minions and given to the targeted champ? Or even his ult? Use Dead Eye then ult extra 10% damage in true damage delayed damage after for each enemy hit gets to like 40% damage in true damage, sure the mr and stuff will effect the damage but in theory still a crazy concept.

Blitzcrank is kinda obvious in my opinion. It would take away the counter play of hiding behind minions giving Blitzcrank extra lane pressure. And in conjunction with his ult in minions after grabbing, he will deal extra damage in true damage to the champ, meaning better kill potential than if the Blitzcrank had ignite.

I mean this could be potentially used by any champion in the game and have a positive impact when used properly, just like all the other summoner skills.

I think it would be a cool addition to summoner skills. It would really be a skill reward based summoner skill.

I see a lot of problems with this. The first and foremost being the reasons why minion block exists. Other reasons I have to be against it...

  • Removes all laning safety against grabbers who are only contained by minion block. (Thresh, Blitzcrank, Nautilus, even Zac to an extent)
  • Removes all laning safety against anyone who has a long range CC or long range skillshot damage reduced by minion strikes. (You think Caitlyn is bad right now?)
  • Redefines the entire laning phase for all lanes, as minions are no longer the "line in the sand", and have become totally meaningless in what is now a "kill them as fast as we can" meta because no one can defend anything. That's what minions do.
  • Removes any point of having a damage absorbing front-liner to block said skillshots or damage in general, as they get automatically negated by a single summoner spell.

I understand why you would want to avoid the challenges of doing targeted damage, but this is untenable. It would require massive balance changes across the board.

Caitlyn That summoner spell would make her ult from a poking tool to a legit execute.

I'm not saying that this is how the Summoner Skill should be, but getting rid of minion and other champion interactions would be pretty cool. Also you have to remember this would be on a 3 minute cool down for like 10-15 seconds of usage. Yes, it gives some champs insane kill pressure, but so does ignite. If you used exhaust on the champ that used dead eye on you then you should be fine. I don't really see the problem with you not being able to hide behind minions for 10-15 second. Even if you get hit with the dead eye summoner skill you could still side step. It would be the exact same thing as if you were ignited. (Would you continue to play aggressive if they use ignite on you?) I think it would be a good addition to add and i mean it does not have to do damage just make only one champion hitable by whomever uses it for 10-15 seconds. Surprisingly i believe that this would be the best summoner skill for ADC's because dead eye attack move, attack move, attack move, etc.

Thinking about it it should make all other non-targeted units untargetable. it would make all other champs seem like they have 10-15 second zhonya's. Also this does not mean that other enemies cannot target you. You still put yourself in danger by playing aggressively. I think it would be a cool addition.
