I want to try Jungling but I don't know what champion to start with. I have been thinking about either Maukai or Rengar. Please help. Also, in your opinion what do you think is better, playing jungle or top?

hey there, I myself am working to be a good jungler and I currently jungle main. however, jungling can be very difficult before level 20, because you cannot purchase tier 3 runes until then, and tier 1 and 2 aren't that great. but, I really wanted to start jungling bad so I grabbed myself about 10 or so tier 2 runes before I hit level 20 and jungled with them. It is not really worth it, let me tell you. Yes they help a little, but not that effectively. so I would suggest waiting to 20 to buy any sorts of runes. Now I know I said that without runes it is difficult to jungle, and it is, but there are some champions that can jungle quite well without runes. Warwick and Nunu are two great junglers that have great sustain and don't really require runes to use. These are two beginning junglers that I would suggest you try. There are also many different junglers and depending on what role you want to play can vary who you play and how you jungle. For example, if you want a tanky jungler (Maoki), you're going to be moving a lot slower than an assassin for the most part and so you might have a harder time pulling off ganks as often. If you play an assassin (Rengar) you can move around the map faster, but you're gonna be very squishy and so without your runes you might struggle getting any successful ganks. Ganks are also very important, you need to be able to time them right and make sure that when you gank you get something out of it. You don't want to waste your time going to gank a lane and then have the enemy just walk away. When you gank you want to make sure that either you or your teammate will get a kill or a tower out of it. You also need to have lots of map awareness. You need to know where the other team is and especially where their jungler is so you can warn teammates about incoming attacks or so you can invade if the jungler is on the other side of the map. I know the frustration of receiving little information because I have posted questions such as yours before and received no answers. This is by no means a detailed guide on how to jungle. This is just some basics that can help you get started. If you are wondering how to play certain jungle champs I suggest watching some of Nightblu3 on youtube, he is a great jungler and you can watch his videos and see how he uses each champs kit to make ganks, dive towers, invade, etc. I hope this helps you! if you have anymore questions feel free to add me in game and message me! Have fun, and good luck!

Jungle really is hard before level 20. If you choose to jungle, stay away from Buff until maybe level 3 will full hp and pots. Start with the jungle items. I would say Top before jungle, it can seen to make jungle easier. Rengar before mao!
