I have a neat champ idea that could be really cool and would like to just share it! And I've developed skills and lore. Caroline the All Knowing One

Lore: A young girl who despises all that is human. Betrayed and disgusted by the faults of humans seeks refuge into the Wild of the forest. Why does she hate humans? It is all cause of the unique abilities she possesses. She can see the truth. Delve into the mind. See through the lies and the faces. For she knows what your secrets are. The future is also within her grasp, and although it is ever changing. What she sees are the most true and accurate. A very gifted girl with powers of the mind. So strong, that it can even interfere with the physical world. Caroline is her name. And she has come to the Fields of Justice for she has Seen something that must be stopped. Even if it means she has to put her trust into the hands of man.
(The gist of her lore! So think, strong psychic girl with mind reading powers who was disgusted by how people are always lying and so she left the world of humans and anything that has a mind) HELLO, AFTER READING ABOUT CCOS JUDGING RUBRICS. I FELT LIKE I SHOULD DO MORE ABOUT THE LORE OF MY CHAMPION (UPDATED AS OF 11/29/16 Told from the persepctive of Miss C. Ellenuit I was a young girl full of the happiest of thoughts, even when my abilities started to appear and I began to hear the thoughts of others. No one ever lied to me, not even my own parents, everything was as happy as could be. My father told me stories about great our country was, how admirable it was. And I believed it all. Their was no doubt in my eyes regarding my fathers words, I was too naive then. What my father told me about my country was nothing but a false image. Nothing but lies. My father wasn't lying though. He truly believed in his words. My naivety was too much really. I should've known, should've thought better on the matter. It was too late, for me to do anything. My parents went out one night on a noble excursion towards one of our closest friends, to settle things regarding a recent political matter that has begun in country. Simple, really, a discussion on who the next Grand General will be. My parents weren't really involved in politics, noble as we were, but even when uninvolved, one must look out for who will be in charge of the state of things. My parents never returned the following day. I figured a slight mishap with the carriage, so stayed patient. More days passed, and so I decided to visit the estate of the friends my parents visited. ... I visited, and I did not like what I saw. I lived a sheltered life, studying and staying at home, rarely venturing beyond the recesses of my home. I did imagine what the city was like, but never felt the urge to visit it. Oh I shouldn't have visited. The city, teaming with the most impure thoughts and minds. Thirsting for power and thinking of the most disgusting methods to achieve it. .... Was my father lying about our nation?.. He wasn't... So how were things so shrouded over to my parents minds? It was then when I reached the estate. That I knew how. And of what occurred. My inexperienced abilities at the time, led me to be vulnerable to all matter of thoughts. And I heard, and saw what had happened. Visions of the past, struck me like a river that has just bursted through a dam and has finally found the freedom it needed to flow free. The answers I needed were presented before me. My parents.... A powerful and wealthy family. Their wealth was needed, their wills were weak. And thus, they were manipulated. Thoroughly with the help of dark magic, their minds were altered and forever corrupted, forever able to be manipulated. And on the night of the visit my parents made, their minds were able to come through and break free from the spell, but it was in front of someone who had put the spell on them in the first place. One of the people who used them to help him climb the ranks, and finally succeeded by becoming Grand General. Their use was no longer needed, and with their minds free from the spell, their use quickly became absolete. They were disposed. ... Why.. Why did I not See any of this before? the answer came to me then, I was naive, so naive and blind to the ways of the world. Foolishly believing in my parents. This so called "great nation" is nothing more then a disgusting den full of hungry pigs. Thirsting and eating at anything they can get their hands on. Blood is everywhere within in this city. In its leader, in its teachings, and its very heart. Noxus, is not a kind place. And neither are the humans who dwelled in this city and manipulated my parents. It. Is. Disgusting. It. Is. Saddening. It. Is. My. Fault. I was naive. So naive. I will no longer be so naive. The kindness and trust in beings I once had, have since died. UPDATED LORE/EXTRA STORY DONE. THING TO NOTE, IF YOU DID NOT UNDERSTAND FROM THE STORY. AND SUBTLE TRIVIA

  • Noxian Noble Family her parents visited and then were killed by assassins. The Du Couteaus.
  • The Grand General is leader of Noxus, and has ties with the Black Rose, which then suggests they were behind the mind control of the Ellenuits' -The Du Couteaus' have been a long time friend to the Ellenuits'. As children, they all played with one another.
  • C. Ellenuit has had a romance with the adopted son of the Du Couteau. The romance may have possibly ended when Miss. C Ellenuit fled the capital.
  • The adopted son of the Du Couteau is currently searching for her, he apparently still loves her. And does not know she knows the truth about everything
  • C. Ellenuit's abilities were known to her parents.
  • Possibly as a subtle act of defiance to those controlling their minds, the Ellenuit parents kept their daughter safely hidden away within their estate.

Abilities: Passive- The All Knowing Caroline can see into the future and read the mind of her opponents which allows her to dodge up to 3 skillshot are fired at her.

  • Here's how it works. There is a radius indicator around Caroline (that only she can see) that Automatically moves her body in the direction that your mouse was last in, to dodge the skillshot. It is a dash. Q- Telekinesis Caroline uses her strong psychic power to lift up a boulder or rock and throws it at the target.
  • Here's how it works. Her Q has a charge over time. When she hasn't castes it for a few seconds it charges up into a skillshot based skill. And is then able to throw a boulder at the target. But if not charged then her Q becomes a really low cool down click shot skill that throws a rock at the clicked target. The boulder does more damage, but the Rock is spamable. (More detail in Gameplay section)

W- Mind over Body Caroline's psychic powers enforces and enhances her own body. Giving her more power and defense. Can be activated to allow levitation.

  • Here's how it works. It passively buffs her resistances and armor and gives her Auto Attacks on hit magic damage. The skill can be activated to give her a boost in movement speed and attack speed and allows her to ignore unit collision. Passive still effects even when it is in cool down. (So when activated she can fly! Lol. And gains nice movement speed buff to get close to enemies) E- I Know You Caroline taps into the mind of the enemy and creates an Illusion of herself.
  • Here's how it works. It is a click ability that effects only one champion at ranks 1-4. At max rank, it becomes an aoe skillshot skill that can effect up to 3 champions. The aoe is rather small so it's hard to get a lot of champions hit especially if they are moving. And the debuff on this skill can be cured with was and the like. Caroline does not turn invisible so pink wards do not work. Can be cleansed. R- Power of the Mind Caroline attacks an area with strong psychic power that disrupts and deals damage to enemy champions. And applies a slow that decays quickly.
  • Here's how it works, it is an instant at skill shot based attack that immediately deals magic damage to enemy champions within the area and can move the enemy champions hit in a direction of your choosing. This skills effect are immediate so you must instantly choose a direction after clicked and using the skill and all enemy champions will be slightly knocked up and pushed in that direction. (GG. Good Yasuo support character lol. The knock up is very short. And the skill is really fast so timing the yah so ult will be kinda hard)

Gameplay: Here's how Caroline fights. She is a zone type control Mage and a fighter with a lot of tools in her kit that makes her very illusive (and hard to gank). She is meant to either play mid or top, mostly mid. Her Q is her farming tool. Uncharged, it is spamable and easy to last hot minions. Pretty good poke as well. But the charged up Q (Boulder) does pretty good damage and waveclears pretty well as well. The charges Q is great execute and deals good damage for poking. Caroline is, yes a burst type champion, and her skills are made so she can get in easily or out safely. She works by either using W to get close in or use your E to make the enemy not notice you as you are close. But the prime combo is E then when close, W for the buff and then to interweave your Auto Attacks with the spamable Q for very good damage and burst. And if they are getting away, R te enemy to get them close. So you can continue to smash them down. Another way to use Caroline's all in potential without blowing her skills is using her passive. Caroline has 3 built in dashes that allows her to dodge through or over skillshots. So when skill shots are being used on you, move your cursor in a direction that allows you to get close to the enemy. And there. You are near the enemy without using any skills and if you are good you still have charges of your passive left. Another way to go all in, is to engage with your ult to bring them closer to you. Caroline is a burst mage/fighter. Her W gives her the tank stats that will allow her enough time to relatively safely Auto Attack close to the enemy. E is a great escape took as well. Especially in team fights. Her E can be used to disrupt and confuse a high damage target or engager to be unaware of where you are so they cannot focus you. In team fights, Caroline works like an assassin, waiting for the right time to go in so she can safely do damage. Caroline's Ultimate is a good engager is well, if times correctly, she can catch an entire team with a powerful damaging skill that disrupts their team comp. it can also be used defensively to protect her team or heralded when on a pinch and they/you need to get out. -I don't really want to go into items because it's rather complicated a little. But rylais is a good item on her. With the spamable q and magic damage Auto Attacks that apply on hit slow from rylais. It is very good with her. And with her ult and rylais. They can never escape.

THINGS TO NOTE: Caroline is resourceless. Her psychic powers are coming from herself so she doesn't need or even use the natural energy of the world to help her, otherwise known as mana. Caroline is completely resourceless. Also, when developing lines for her, I would like her to have a line and comment for every champion, because well duh. She can read minds and so she knows all the champions from inside out.

UPDATED AS OF 11/19/2016 FOR THOSE WHO HAVE COMMENTED NOT UNDERSTANDING I HAVE FIRTHER CLARIFIED THINGS!!

I understand your comment and to address your qualms I will clear and specify everything. And to have you know that I wrote out my chmapion idea just as that an idea, and wrote out everything in most simple way of stating what she does and how she works, and what her skills are like. So first. Caroline's passive is broken. I know. And in a specified matter, here is how it works. Her passive is a stacked passive. She starts the game off with 3 stacks of her passive and when a skillshot is incoming to her, she will dodge it. And it will consume 1 stack of her passive. 1 stack of her passive has a long cooldown time. Whereas if all 3 stacks were to be gone at the same time/moment. The cooldown will be somewhat shorter then the recharging of 1 stack. I have this thought in mind so that I want the passive to be good and playable. It won't be fun if the passive can just be shut down by clearing all of her stacks at once and then waiting for it to comeback at a really long time. That won't be fair to the person palying Caroline if her passive is always down when she needs, and it makes her opponents mindful that, "SHe can dodge 3 of my skills, but if i blow all my skills at the same time, her passive is just going to make her dodge, so I'll bait out her first 2 dodges and save her last dodge on a useless skill, and then use my stun/snare/stopping skill to catch her and burst her down. " She is rather meta changing- but really interesting. I want her passive to be useful when you need it, so low cooldown, but if its too low then its broken. So hence the stack method. 1 stack takes long time to charge. But if all 3 are blown then it'll all be up soon. I want passive to be useful, it'll be useless if it can just get countered by ability spamming. That'll be pretty dumb. And the range indicator is not that small. Big enough that her passive can get tricked or baited into activating. So thats where counterplay is coming from, and now that I think about it. Its a pretty broken passive, so the range indicator for her passive will be visible to enemies. So that they can try and counterplay her, reasoning for this lore wise and character wise is, "Caroline knows what you will do and is prepared for it, you know she is ready to counter you." Is this, an alert type thing buff will pop up and show you her range indicator and read the following note.

Next is her Q, it is an ability. It is 2 abilities. She's a difficult champion and takes getting used to and to be able to use her effectively and to time her abilities. I have not put in a range or damage indicators for that requires math, and my champion is jsut a conecept an idea, so I'm just trying to get the gist, and to clarify your problems. Here is how the Q works. She starts the game off with her first Q, the spammable rocks, and if the first Q hasnt been used in a given time, it will charge up to a long range skillshot that will deal significantly more damage then her spammable Q. But it will put the whole ability on cooldown. So think, spamamble Q no cooldown, boulder cooldown. Boulder does more damage, rocks dont do much damage but it part of her gamplay. To interweave her autoattacks with her spammable Q. Her spammable Q has a range and it prioritizes champions she auto attacks. After that, champions and then minions. The range for her spammable Q is the same range of her passive. The range isnt that big, it'll be broken if it is. And plus it prioritizes champions she autoattacks. Her kit is to interweave autos with her Q for good amount of burst. And so that brings to her W

Caroline's W is a huge key of her kit. It has both a passive and an active. And I feel that your are confused about one thing... NO. Its not a "I can travel through walls and over walls ability." SHe just floats above the ground while its active and moves faster. And this ability in tune with her passive is not overkill. Yes she is a burst mage, but she is not an assassin, she is a secondary fighter, And so her burst is not all at once. With her W and Q how she fights and trades is that she interweaves autoattacks with her Q, and the defensive buff is that, she needs to be able to survive for a time, and so that idea leads to needing to a bit bulky. She is a mage and her primary focus will be AP items and she doesnt get AP items then she won't be doing much. "WHy Not build tanky on her then?" Tanky on her is not really good. She won't do anything tanky. ALl her abilities scale with AP her base autoattack damage is weak and so relies on her passive which buffs autoattack damge with AP. And that is it passive effect. Her active increases her attackspeed for a time and grants her movement speed. Which when is on, shows the anmation of her levitationg, think Syndra. ANd so gameplay wise, it allows you to maneuver better after your passive takes effect. So imagery wise: Caroline gets hit with a skill shot, activates her passive, she dodges it, and uses the fact that her opponent is down a skill to engage, activates W to move faster (MOVEMENT SPEED BUFF IS NOT THAT LARGE JUST FAST ENOUGH TO BE FASTER THEN REGULAR OPONENTS. NOT LIKE PER SE KENNEN E ELECTRIC SURGE) Opponent tries to get you away, and throws more skillshots, passive takes effect but it doesnt slow her down so she is still coming towards you and is able to get close to you. (ALSO TO NOTE: HER PASSIVE DOESNT DASH IN A STRAIGHT LINE TOWARDS THE SKILLSHOT TO DODGE IT. IT IS ALWAYS A BACK DASH OR DIAGONAL OR SIDE DASH. NEVER STRAIGHT. SO YES HER PASSIVE GETS YOU CLOSE TO HER, BUT NOT CLOSE, LIKE IN YOUR FACE, SHE WILL DASH AROUND YOUR SKILLS, BUT WILL ALWAYS BE NEARER EVERY DASH CAUSE YOU ARE TRYING TO KEEP HER AWAY AND SHE IS TRYING TO GO IN ON YOU). And imagery is done. Hope it helps

Next Coraline's E, this was the hardest skill to come up with, becuase her kit is pretty good, so what else could be put there to not overpower her or underpower her and be called classified as a useless skill. And then i thought about her lore and own character. She can read and play around with your mind. It was really hard to explain. And I didnt know how to perfectly explain it, and so now that some time has passed I have been able to develop a better explantion pertaining to her E ability. Caroline taps into your mind and makes you blind to her. So now that I think about it, and with new stealth mechanics out, and vision wards no longer show stealthed champions. I can clarify that this ability makes you able to not see Caroline, (I wasnt comfortable with saying "invisible" in previous description, because well she doesnt become invisible, you just cant see her, but well, now that you can't just counter stealth with a pink ward I will now say she becomes stealthed. But she doesnt become stealthed for the whole enemy team, only for the person that has been targeted, And... scratch the fact that it cna effect multiple people.... I don't know what I was thinking.. The E WAS REALLY HARD TO THINK ABOUT.

And now her Ult. I wanted to allow Caroline to be able to contribute to a team, and what is a strong telekinetic if they can't move people? Thats pretty absurd, so her ult has a range around her, so think rumble ult cast range, and after clicking an area you are shown an area to choose in which direction to knock people to. The damage is not that high, but its not that weak, the specifics I do not know yet. But I can assure you its not strong, if its too strong it'll overpower her kit. but too weak then why make it an ult? Although this wasnt the first idea for her ult that i had. Their were 2 possible abilities to become her ult and I was really unsure about the 2nd ult idea. But since I mentioned it. I willl explain it, if you don't mind. 2nd Ult, is is unlocked at regular ult levels and is a 2nd passive for Caroline. When unlocked, Caroline gains knock back effects on all her auto attacks, knockback can only occur 3 times per champion and each knockback does a good/decent amount of magic damage. Reasoning for this character wise an ability description, "Caroline's attacks are further psychically empowered and will knock back enemy champions dealing magic damage per knockback up to 3 times." And to clarify the knockback is not that much just a little bit to give Caroline breathing room and to commence her fights and not allow the champion to be able to counter her that quuickly. And that is my idea for the 2nd ult, i was unsure, so I didnt really put it up.

And I hope I clarified things that you are not understanding, and also I would like to say her E, the one that stealths you, lasts for a good time, and can be cleansed and qss. ANd when activated on you a debuff appearing will show that you cannot see her. Its a strong ability 1v1 wise, but its countered towards late game cause it isnt true stealth, it only effects one person and so in team fights it won't be that useful, but it will be good for you to sneak up on someone way in the backline, like long range caitlyn, but there exists a thing called pings, so her E is a diffficult abiltity to play and use with. ANd once again hope it clarifies your troubles. and I will update my post with this comment lol, for people who wnat more clarification.

I've got quite a eyefull reading this one, to be honest. My head is spinning a little. There's a champ in here somewhere, but it might take some digging to get the concept to where it is playable, and by extension, understandable.

If the passive were a little more specific, I might say it sounds faaaaar too strong. The trouble is, I'm not sure I even know what you mean by it, but ok.

If it's what I think it is, then she can dodge several skillshots at once. That is incredibly broken - especially without any kind of specified timer, or a way to counterplay that. By design,as it is, it falls short. As a basic idea, however, it's not such a bad thought. I think this might be my favorite thing with this build - if it were to come to its senses a little bit.

If there were a way to make this a little more fair or simplified, it might be a pretty great idea. Yes, it is basically a built-in dodge script, and it could potentially work, but it needs to have a kind of drawback. What if it were on a 40 second cooldown, or if she could build "dodges" slowly over time, like Heimerdinger's turrets or Corki's ult rockets. That way, expending several in a short time means you won't have it again for a pretty long while. That would make it feel more like a passive, and less like a literal cheat code.

Q- Telekinesis Caroline uses her strong psychic power to lift up a boulder or rock and throws it at the target.

I think there is an ability in here somewhere, but where it is currently it seems like it is trying to be too many things. The fact that there are no specific range or damage statistics is also a bit worrying. I think this could be split into two different things - one ability for the large boulder, and another for the small rock. It just seems like you're trying to cram a lot onto one button.

With an ability like this, why do you still want the passive? it just seems like overkill to me to have this many mobility mechanics all at once. Also, flying in League, if that entitles wall clearing, that is so insanely broken that I'm speechless.

This alone, even if it lasted less than 5 seconds, could be an ult. Luckily for you, you did not include ability duration, cooldowns, or any kind of drawbacks - so that is not something I can judge.

You lost me. So it is a skillshot that can knock back several champions in its line of fire? in terms of targeting, it sounds like Viktor's laser, except with a CC element. So one click decides its starting point, and another click sends people in a direction with an unspecified amount of damage? At least I think that's what happening, right?

A little bit of clarity might work wonders for this ability, and several of your previously proposed abilities.


In closing:

I think you have a lot of ideas that are trying to shine through here, but it just, isn't. It's not that you are having a hard time saying it, it is that each ability has about, 3-4 things going on at once, so it is hard to tell what comes first, for how long, far, and at what cost. The E I thought was supposed to be some kind of cloning mechanic with an illusionary doppelganger, and it turned out to be a multi-target skillshot that is better at hitting moving targets? and then there is a control ward mechanic at the end that might have something to do with it, but I'm not even sure. There are several points that could have used clarity, and maybe then I could provide some more down-to-earth critique. The feel the build is just in a state of confusion as of now.

It needs some cleaning up, for sure, but I think you can trim this down to something really fun and cohesive. It ma need a bit of math to support your claims, and help people imagine how counterplay might work, or what is even happening in the first place.

A lot of work went into it, that is apparent. However, it might need some more - stick with it!

The Q is rather odd how it shifts from a point and click to a skillshot. Another thing that came up is, how does she auto attack? She has psychic powers, but she is just a girl physically; how cans he shoot at an enemy. I think you should scrap her current Q and make rock throwing into her auto attack. I'm thinking maybe a silence for her next Q, as a silence seems to fit a telekinetic mage pretty well.

The last problem is that her W shouldn't give her defensive stats. Putting built in bulkiness on a burst mage and/or control mage is a bad idea for balance. Instead maybe make it a flying dash forward with passive magic damage on auto attacks.

I think her passive is interesting, but you need to be more specific. Currently it says, "Up to 3 times." Does that mean three times ALL GAME? If so, that's ridiculously pointless. I think you should make it a charging thing where it builds up stacks and holds up to 2 stacks which can activate once per 4 seconds and charge once per 20 seconds or something of that sort.

Great concept, but it needs work. I feel like this could really have some potential if executed better. Note: I'm not trying to insult your concept, you can defend it with your own points or agree with me and change it up.

Interesting concept.

Passive: Your going to need a cooldown for your passive dash. otherwise it's pretty OP, free dash from any 3 projectles.

Q - the way it is described it looks like a channel ability, visually you would see how may rocks she can gather, if interupted or activated early, it will launch small rocks and stones, but at full charge it will combine and become a full on bolder. the trick would be after the channel you can choose where to throw it, rather than before. so it like: 1st activation: channel a charge attack for 4 seconds, gaining 10% additional damage each second. 2nd activation: Choose a target location, the object is thrown at the target location.

W - if you want to make it work it would have to be a passive + toggle, example: Passive: Caroline's psychic powers buffs her resistances and armor and gives her Auto Attacks on hit magic damage. Toggle on: The skill can be activated to give her a boost in movement speed and attack speed and allows her to ignore unit collision. (i assume for balance it drains mana per second and or stunning her puts the ability on cooldown for 3 seconds) I would also remove her empowered attacks, unless each attack ALSO drains mana.

E - very hard to translate what your asking for. Make it a skillshot AOE regarless, but only effecting the lowest HP champion, at later ranks it can just effect more than one. It's basically like a blind, the enemy champion/s lose sight of ONLY her, and a random Illusions is summoned (only in their own screen/vision), the point for multiple is, it's not 50/50 at any point any illusion can be the real you etc. if thats what your asking for?

R - i imagine this is like Sona's R, but they are levitated and you can choose where to displace them.

Having her be resourceless pushes her towards the Overpowered side. She would have incredible sustain and could poke and dodge for unlimited time.

I suggest you use something like "Concentration" as a resource, something she has to spend, but can also easily gain. (better/worse than energy)
