Me and my friend had a conversation today and he told me he's gonna buy Pax TF then i told him he can't because like a year ago i think they disabled all unused skin codes and stuff like that but then he told me people are still selling them. So are they still available or did Riot cancel all of those skins like pax and riot skin codes?

Hey Gorehowl!

We did disable the older skin codes, so anyone claiming to be selling a PAX TF is scamming you. Please don't buy them! Unfortunately, there isn't a way to obtain some of the older skins, including PAX TF.

Ice Weasel X kindly provided a bit more context! (Thanks!)

##I missed out! Can I buy the codes somewhere?

No :( The entire point of a code is to give something physical to a player in order to create a special memento of the event they attended. The content of the code, however, can sometimes become available to be purchased in the store.

Note: While some websites or individuals sell Riot code cards on the Internet, they are almost always doing so with fraudulent intent (i.e. those codes are usually redeemed, expired or stolen). As we do not support 3rd party re-sellers, please avoid buying stuff from Internet Strangers! We will not be able to help you if your 3rd party code does not work for any reason.

##Retired codes

Over the course of League of Legends, we released hundreds of different codes for various champions and skins. Some of our older code cards did not have expiration dates, however in order to prevent fraud, we have retired all codes created before April 2014. If you have a code card that you got before April 2014, you will not be able to redeem it in the store.

Recent code cards (e.g. Arctic Ops Varus, Riot Fist Bump Ward Skin) have a distinct expiration date and must be redeemed by that date.

If you have an older code card (from before April 2014) and can provide us with the information that we normally request in these situations, we should be able to help you out, provided that you can submit all the required information to us before July 23rd 2014.

Related: PAX Sivir and TF aren't the same skin, but are handled the same way.

This is correct.

There is currently no way to obtain the PAX Sivir skin.

Unfortunately, we don't hand PAX Sivir out at conventions anymore either. The skins we hand out now vary, and have included Riot Kayle, and Dragonslayer Pantheon.

Riot could always put them back up for sale(like riot singed) or do some other give-a-way. I noticed that instead of coming out with unique pax skins they have just been handing out codes for existing skins. I.e. that one with riot blitz code.

Its not that riot can't put these skin back in...they simply won't. Now that they have disabled codes for pax tf , jax, riot singed etc. There is no way to get them which I simply don't understand. The player base has grown so much since the game came out. Many of us have never had a chance to acquire these skins. I just want to know why. Some i understand...like victorious skins and triumphant ryze. Others like the pax skins or riot singed.....i dont.

Also, why has riot been lazy and not made a new pax skin? Its not like its a hard project. I mean pax tf is a simple blue recolor more or less.

Maybe. Though if that were the case, why wouldn't riot just say so? Also doesn't explain others like riot singed for example.
