So, I've been playing 40%CDR with Jax for a very long time, and i say it's very good you have 3.6 sec leaps, 1.8 sec w's, and you have a 5 second stun. If you play jax build FH SV and one last cooldown item. Enjoy your face bashing.

Triforce, BotRK, Randuins, Banshee's Veil, Merc Treads, Frozen Heart

While CDR is nice on Jax, he has enough natural resistances from his R that health is far more efficient than an early Frozen heart, and Triforce and BotRK give him all the offensive stats he could ever want.

I could see some form of weird Jax build with Iceborn, Spirit Visage, and a Black Cleaver though. Weaker for 99% of what Jax does, but hey it's fun right?

30% CDR is good. 40% CDR means you either have to compromise your build, or you have to get it from your runes and masteries. Either way, something's gotta give.

EDIT: If you want to get really crazy, replace item 3153 with item 3146 and make your situational 6th item item 3124 and you have yourself a viable Season 5 Hybrid Jax build.

you also die to half the champions in the game before you get to auto attack. you should have 10% cdr from runes/masteries and thats generally more than enough.

agreed archangel staff isn't that bad on him tbh. i tried this build in 3v3 worked well item 3003 item 3800 item 3153 item 3071 item 3170 item 3006

black cleaver is really good on jax counter strike applies aoe debuff and his q can also apply it. But it means not going with triforce.

If I want 40% cdr on AD champs, I've been opting for 5% from masteries and item 3275 with item 3071 . The rest of the build is situational as the game demands.

Anyone who watches trick2g has seen the 40% CDR jax.

And you do it better with 15% CDR from Runes so you don't have to have a shitty item build.

not troll, AP Jax crushes other AP carries and has amazing burst. He's just a lot squishier than most people would like and isn't great at getting out once he goes in.

Tri is just better, in like every way. More flat MS for Jaxs top notch base MS, W Spellblade synergy. Attack speed and AP. Phage has 10 AD, 200 (maybe 300...) HP, and 20% CDR. The Pen isn't that awesome because of all the Magic damage he deals with W and R procs. Jax is an autoattacker, not a caster.

Why not just go item 3158 item 3071 with a standard build?

Jax item 3153 item 3078 item 3071 item 3277 would deal some serious DPS

FH, Visage, masteries gets you 35%. Thats good enough for me. If you absolutely HAVE to have that last 5% 1 scaling CDR quint does it (or 2 flats but thats giving up a bit too much)
