Preliminary Idea for an extremely complex Champ kit
BACKGROUND: SKIP TO CHAMP SECTION IF YOU DON'T CARE WHERE THIS IS COMING FROM OR JUST WANNA SKIP TO AN ACTUAL DESCRIPTION OF THE CHAMP
I've always been intrigued by champ kits that break/twist the standard paradigm of EQW corresponding to 3 basic ability casts + R an ultimate cast. Udyr is obviously a prime example of this, as well as Sona/Elise and Jayce in a way, but I think there might be a way to incorporate even more variety with 4 buttons. Udyr has 4 stances with 4 keys, but I think there could be a cool way to incorporate "stances" without making each separate stance tied to only one effect/ ability. Call me crazy.
This kit may be way too ridiculous, and I would love to hear people's thoughts on ways to make it better/more sane. Just think this kind of idea would be really cool if designed right I'm talking to much. just take a look and let me know what you think.
CHAMP so, I'm really bad at coming up with names. Let's call it....Nu, the Dancing Magician. For the sake of argument, he's male.
PASSIVE: Nu does not have every ability available at all times. He always has QWE up as stance selectors, but these are not abilities and are not affected by level-up ranks. Activating a stance unlocks a new set of 4 abilities, unique to the stance activated. Abilities rank up normally and have cooldowns. Every time Nu completes a stance/dance, he is healed for 5% of his maximum health. Stances have no cooldown.
COOLDOWNS: Q: 16/14/12/10/8 W: 12 E: 20/19/18/17/15 R: 120/105/90
STANCES:
Stance 1: INDIGNATION Q: Chain Lightning (linear colliding skill shot that can chain to multiple targets) Nu fires a lightning bolt in a line. It collides with the first enemy it hits, dealing 70/80/90/110/140 (+.3 AP) damage. Lightning then arcs out from the target, striking up to four other units. New targets must be within 400 range of a previous target to spread. If Chain lightning damages two or more enemy champions, the movement speed of every target is reduced by 10%. W. Spark Shield (self-targeted ability) Nu surrounds himself in a sphere of spark energy for 5 seconds, increasing magic resistance by 10/15/20/30/40 and returning damage to enemy basic attackers equal to 20/30/50/60/75 (+2.5% of health lost) magic damage. The shield also deals 5//15/30/45/60 (+.3 AP) magic damage per second to enemies within 325 range. E: Indignant Judgment (point blank area of effect) Nu releases a wave of electric energy that empowers nearby allies' next basic attacks to deal bonus magic damage equal to 30/50/70/90/120 (+.2 AP). If the ally's AD is less than 75% of their AP, the attack slows the target by 50%. If 3 Allied champions with empowered attacks target the same enemy champion, the target is stunned for 1 second R: The Advocate (ground targeted area of effect) Nu Channels intensely for 1 second, conjuring a maelstrom of energy with radius 350 at a target location. He then detonates the energy, stunning enemies for 1 second and dealing 50/100/200 (+.75 AP) magic damage over the area.
Stance 2: THE MEEK Q. Desperate Ploy (self-targeted ability) Nu gains 100% attack speed for 2 seconds. When the effect ends, Nu's movement speed is increased by 40% for 1.5 seconds. W: Emerald door (unit-targeted vector shield ability) Nu shields himself and an allied champion with a directional magic barrier. The shield reduces all incoming magic damage by 40% and destroys one physical projectile before shattering E: Journey with The Meek (ground targeted ability that provides an on hit-blink and can be reactivated to blink again) Nu creates an unstable vortex A at target location and vortex B where he is at the time of cast for 1.5 seconds. His next attack within that time becomes ranged, gaining 250 range and teleporting Nu behind his target. If the attack connects, the vortex duration is extended for 2 second, during the last 1.5 of which time Nu can reactivate to blink to the location of the vortex A. If Nu takes at least 10% of his maximum health in total damage from at least two instances of damage, the vortex collapses and Nu is unable to blink. As long as vortex A persists, allied champions can enter Vortex B to blink to Vortex A. They then gain 25% movement speed. R: Division Bell (Linear colliding area of effect skill shot with a self-knockback) Nu throws a heavy ball of elemental energy, knocking himself back 1000 units. If the ball collides with an enemy, it explodes dealing 50/100/200 (+.75 AP) in a line area of effect through the target. Affected enemies are knocked back 300 units. If Nu or any of the affected enemies collide with a wall, they are stunned for 1.5 seconds
Stance 3: FURY Q: Flamethrower (conic skills shot) Nu channels, releasing a jet of flame in front of him which deals 75/100/125/150/175 (+.75 AP) magic damage over 2 seconds. W: Flame Wall (vector targeted skill shot) Nu creates a wall of flame 250/300/400/500/600 units long. The wall last 4 seconds and deals 50/75/100/125/150 (+.5 AP) magic damage over the duration. Enemies affected by the wall have their magic resist reduced 15% for 2 seconds E: Herd of Furious Demons (self-targeted ability) Nu conjures 1/2/3/4/5 demon familiars that are tethered to him for 10 seconds. On his next basic attack, the dogs attack for him, charging headlong at the target. Upon arrival, they explode, dealing 25 +4% of the target's current health in magic damage. The familiars drag Nu behind them, preventing him from taking any action for the duration. R: Sweet Sorrow (targeted ability that binds Nu to his target) Nu imbues his own body with immense magical energy, then leaps to embrace target champion, surrounding them for up to 5 seconds. If the target is an ally, Nu becomes untargetable, but takes 75% of all total incoming damage. If the Ally falls beneath 5% health, Nu erupts his own body, granting the Ally immunity from all damage for 1 second. Nu dies in the process. If the target is an enemy, Nu deals 30/40/50 (+.25 AP) magic damage per second in an area of effect centered around the target and slows the target's attack speed by 25/35/50%
If you read this far, I applaud you. Again, a kit like this definitely needs some tweaking, so help me out if you're interested!
