Idea to rework Ekko

Hey everyone, Before we start I play a lot of Ekko (he's my second most played right behind Kha'zix) and this isn't just to hate on what he has become and although it may be a little late to the ekko problem since tank is starting to become less popular but I think I have some idea's to help him be the hit and run assassin riot wants him to be.

So lets think for a second Ekko is supposed to have a burst and escape playstyle and for the most part he fits this. The issue is that his kit also says "hey tankko is more viable why escape when you can just burst and stick to people. I feel like this is mostly due to his Passive and his W as well as having a lot more utility than most assassins. Others tend to have one form of CC, zed or kha'zix with a single slow or rengar with a snare or slow, some like Kat have none at all TL:DR- Ekko's kit has a very utility/tank like in design and should more so focus on the assassin in him.

First off the passive. I really like it, but I thinks its got a little much going on I think instead of stealing speed it should either buff him or slow the enemy (i'd prefer the speed buff, since it fits the hit/run style). I also think the passive should do damage only not the slow to monsters and minions, and have a lowered timer on them as well because the most recent nerfs to him really crippled his jungling, its still possible I'm aware but it hurts a lot more early on.

Next his Q. I've brought this up before on a different thread but I think It would be great to make it work like a Draven ult where he reactivate it early and bring it back to him, cause ya'know he controls time and he's throwing a timewinder, this could heavily increase the hit fast hit hard style. Also removing the slow to it, I'll explain that next

The W... Honestly The ability is too much for an assassin it really says play tank instead and I thinks its just best to rework the ability. Sure it's a play maker and sure its great for this and that but this is where riot, I personally feel, slipped up on his kit.

I Believe the passive should be kept, but the damage should do half on champs and the normal amount on minions/monsters because he shouldn't really need bonus AA damage since it promotes lingering around an enemy like a tank would not an assassin, also making it do more to non-champs keeps his jungling and last hitting in a good position because melee mids need that benefit.

The active on the other hand, I believe the CC is the problem I think the stun and the waiting for it to activate isn't connected to the hit and run riot wants. How about Ekko spawns an alternate form of himself (like he does already) but instead of hitting a ball into a stun field he stands there waiting to hit the timewinder, like a baseball player (the Q is the ball). When the Q connects with the alternate Ekko the clone swings and hits its and it blows up the timewinder, the AOE circle does damage and slows enemies by an X amount. I thought of this today so I'm not super confident on this but I think it could be interesting.

As for the E. I thinks its fine and doesn't need any changes.

And lastly the R. It think the main reason people chose to play Tank instead of AP was because of the nerfs to it, how it became better to heal then to get a kill. The damage buffs that riot gave it may have been unnecessary, I still have issues with the splash radius it has now from that first nerf oh so long ago, I loved the no mana cost but I understand balancing, so If they were to up the radius on the damage back to its original or somewhere in between could be beneficial. All in all the ability isn't that big of a problem.

Again I'm not here to complain about Tankko or anything like that. I just want Ekko to be the Assassin riot was expecting. So please share your thoughts on my ideas and share your on ideas on how his kit could be changed. Thanks for reading.

Here's how it works, if it's not a tank but it's got %HealthDamage it will always end up being tank one way or another. ex. fizz, diana, veigar, etc

i want tank ekko back.... i didnt build it cause it was OP but cause it was fis so please return him or maybe tell be the build of this new ekko to still be a tank and do the same stuff.... if u ask me i would build him with : try force, sunfire cape, frosen mallet, spirit visage, deadmans plate and rylias crystal scepter...... this build gives you everytong bac... the slow the damage the resistance.. if u have any more ideas on how to bring tank ekko back ple message me on [email protected] thank you guys
