Please revamp the crimson elite skins

The idea behind the theme isn't bad, but the theme has to be solidified a bit more and the current ones don't capture the characters' shape-language very well.

Probably something with more of the current "Noxian" design aesthetics in mind, because right now they both look really out of place. They also don't look like two pieces within a "set" like they should. They look too different from one another, with Talon's evil-Robocop helmet and the emblem on his chest and his weird cloth-like armor(?), and Riven's skin-tight leather suit and relatively minimalist design.

Honestly I like CE Riven, but CE Talon just doesn't look like it's part of the same line of skins. I suggest either redesigning it to look more like CE Riven, or finding some sort of middle ground for the two. Perhaps something that could better exemplify the strength of Noxus, closer in design to Darius perhaps, but with a more distinguished look, because from what I understand, they're supposed to basically be like the Noxian Special Forces or something, right?

Also, hasn't there been a Crimson Elite Katarina in the works or hinted at or whatever for the longest time? Maybe that could be the perfect opportunity to get a basic and consistent design down?

Yup, Crimson Elite is, in a nutshell, the opposite of the Commando line, which would learn it more toward a Noxian style. I'd like to see a more unified approach to this line, personally, because I think it would be really cool to have a Commando team versus a Crimson Elite team, but I do agree - I think there needs to be a stronger fiber of continuity throughout the skin line, especially if we'd like to continue with it. I mean, that's what makes the really strong skin lines, right? Like Arcade!

I wasn't working at Riot when the discussion of Crimson Elite Katarina was going around, but from the looks of the comments, it wasn't up to par with our quality bar for skins. That's not to say that it will never be seen, again, 'cause you never know (and I actually don't either!). We tend not to confirm a skin until it's at least on PBE for reasons like this - we don't want to set expectations or let people down, should the initial idea we come up with not be the strongest.

If I recall correctly, once a Rioter said that Bio-Forge and Steel Legion were meant to be the technical elite, while Noxian Elite and Commando the military elite, for both Noxus and Demacia.

So, first thing first, you should decide a theme: the current one is pretty much "Judge Dredd" look-alike, and it isn't half bad,so you either keep it that way or try to steer it in another direction.

Right, that's what I meant by a stronger fiber of continuity - some defining characteristics that would fall into a more identifiable, recognizable theme.

Gold/red helmets, black suits, something like a villain from a '80 cartoon (as Noxus does fall into the stereotype of the bad guy). What I mean is, how do you feel about this theming? I personally think that it needs to stay this way as it makes for a nice rivalry with the Demacian Commando's skin line.

I agree with you, I don't think they're half bad. I think to streamline with the quality bar or where skins are now, a couple things would need to happen. We would need to re-imagine the shape language for the skin line, which would likely mean cleaning up the skins as a whole, and smoothing them out. I would like to see a darker red being used, in the color pallette because, it is Crimson Elite after all. For Riven, maybe give her some more armor on her lower half, to eliminate the idea of a bodysuit, since she's the type of champion who rocks armor in the first place.

Again, just my person opinion. I don't think they're the worst skin line by any means, but I could see where some improvements could be made to make them part of a stronger skin line.

Is stuff like this possible going forward, fixing consistency and visual language for outliers? Is this something that could happen more in the future? For example, you changed the colours for Battlecast Xerath. Would more significant changes than that be a possibility for some skins?

As you've seen recently, we've been improving some older skins with the help of the Champion Update team and their mass texture updates / balances.

This is what I had in mind. You should definitely pursue this. Always thought Crimson Elite had potential to be a good skin line. Fix up the first 2, release 3 more and we definitely got a winner

I'm totally with you about Riven, she doesn't fit that much with a body suit, however she doesn't really fit with the body suit . Perhaps you could add some more armor for the thighs and shins? That way those who picked the skin for the thight look of it would still retain part of it on the butt and upper body, but it would be more on character (something like her Redeemed or Dragonblade skin, in terms of armor volume).

Back to theming, since at the moment there are only 2 skins , it's easier to introduce some changes if you want to. Commando skins are defined by Green, sunglasses , and machismo.

Noxian elite strong, defining, points are (In my very humble opinion, of course):

Crimson/Black suits.
High-rank military attire (think something like old style military uniforms)
Golden helmets.
Blue details , like visors or Riven Gauntlets.

With Crimson Elite Riven I'd suggest removing the helmet and give her red hair or her regular colored hair with a ponytail or something. The helmet to me looks ridiculous and is one of the main reasons I don't use the skin. If you do keep the helmet, change the design a bit but don't make it fully cover her face like Talon's, he looks like a beetle and he could stand to lose the helmet or have it designed closer to Riven's version.

Keep the skin tight suit, I like that. I feel the cape needs some work too. It doesn't flow as well animation-wise (I guess cause it's an old skin) and would like it to probably be a little darker with some more designs on it and possibly longer reaching just above her rear. Don't cover the rear, we gotta keep dat shiny booty. Probably the saving grace of the skin.

The boots could use some work. It just looks so plain. The color of the rune on Riven's gloves could also be darkened a bit. Also, maybe move the insignia that's under Riven's chest to above her chest. I don't know why but having it under her chest looks like it could hurt. Just my two cents on the whole thing.

Riven's skin is a huge disappointment, but I think if they re-did the existing ones, and made some new ones, it'd be awesome

I am confused as to why you feel they really need to be changed. If you were not satisfied with the base skin I could see bringing up your concerns but since they are optional skins I do not understand why they need to be changed. I actually like talons crimson elite skin, it reminds me a lot of judge dread. I will admit though, Rivens Crimson Elite skin is not very attractive. The gauntlet does not fit well with the rest of the skin, it is far to clunky looking and does not even fit the color scheme.

The skin line as far as I know was not actually meant to depict the upper echelon of noxus. I would think of it more along the lines of the battlecast skins as being another potential reality.

I think that Crimson Elite Talon is Talon's best skin- the helmet reminds me of Judge Dredd, and I like the way the blades are shaped. I want to like Crimson Elite Riven, but I don't. It's Riven in a black rubber skinsuit with a helmet that doesn't look in any way related to the rest of the skin. I guess it makes sense to have the golden helmet (something to share with CE Talon), but the skin doesn't offer much else. The arm bits are lumpy and out-of-place in-game. We already have Battle Bunny for a skintight pervy skin. Perhaps the collar/cape thing could be made more imposing?
