Community Point System

This was an idea that was derived from a suggestion made by a Community representative that was in a meeting with other community representatives from the stream by goodguygaming3

I took it upon myself to try and help out with the idea and improve it and do away with the implications.

So the original plan for the Community Point System, was mentioned with communities getting together and creating an app where all communities will share the same currency (Community Points) which you earn from playing community hosted tournaments, which then you can use to redeem, riot points, shirts, etc.

I thought this was a great idea but the implications that came up were pointed out by another representative of a community. Security was a big issue, providing the prizing in the app for redemption was an issue.

So It would work like this :

Play Tournament = earn a set amount of points Points are stored on an application Points can be used to redeem RP, Shirts, Swag, etc.

So I thought maybe if riot can pitch in. Why would they pitch in you say? well because they can benefit out of it too and everyone can be happy.

So now my version of the idea.

Have riot create a place where the community can submit custom made skins (with files done and all) (This can get the community more involved with the game) Then designate a few designers to pick out top quality skin submissions. Next step is to implement the custom skins into the game (this will ease some load on the skin design team) Create a Community Point System that work with these selected custom skins. These custom skins will cost a set amount of community points to unlock Create a system where communities can give out these points to players that participate in the tournaments. (This will give players more incentive to play tournaments) With more incentives to play tournaments people will be exposed to the competitive scene more (which is what riot wants with the exclusion of more exposure for in-person events) These points can then be used to redeem the nifty awesome skins created by the community.
