This reminds me Xin Xhao's new art design. I wouldn't mind at all if they switched Irelia's art with this one.

Not really. I meant to say that Irelia's artstyle on that splashart looks modern while the background has a classic old League vibe.

I mean its nice work but its not a splashart. The ratio and style are too different (too wide and much more detailed) and it doesn't show off the character in important ways (most if not all of her needs to be in view and this doesn't convey her enlightened leader theme).

Xin's splashart showcases his entire body and clearly communicates his theme and character as a Demacian spear fighter with an Ionian background.

I'm not sure what you mean by it doesn't compare. It doesn't compare to his in game model because his model is old and outdated and models never fully compare to their splashart. If you mean it doesn't compare to this Irelia fanart, thats because this fanart is a different style which involves way more detail and also wasn't under the time constraints that Riot's splash artists are.

False. Xin Zhak's splashart shows him using his Ultimate. Because he spinned his spear in a circle the way he does in his in-game ultimate's animation.

I mean Riot's splashartists have to do a less detailed splash because they have actual time constraints and stylistic requirements which this artist did not. And this one is honestly way more boring to me because its just the top half of her waving her blades with some soldiers in view while the actual splash portrays her as a graceful leader.

edit: This is apparently actually by a Riot splashartist so it just goes to show what they are capable of on their own projects.
