So now that the single most highly regarded player can't have a whole TEAM come back, can we please stop with the notion that lower elo players are supposed to be able to carry 1v9? I mean, if you say that still, you're just flip-flopping and only ever asking for an argument that you win, even if you contradict yourself in the process.

I feel like its important to point out that he is playing against some of the best players in the world as well... But obviously youre not supposed to 1v9 if you arent a lot better than the ranking you are located at, it is a team game after all. That being said youre supposed to have a bigger impact than your counterpart if you want to climb.

Well, it wasn't really his meta anyway. The optimal team compo for Worlds was basically ADC + 4 supports (even in midlane) so he couldn't be the big carry and Bang couldn't fill his shoes. This was really the most shitfuck meta ever for a World Championship (not because Faker couldn't shine but because the only viable champion classes were enchanters, tanks, control/ support mages and crit-ADCs) and I really have to commend all the teams that participated for providing surprisingly interesting games to watch to make up for probably the biggest failure of Riots' balance team in LoL history.

Faker is a a true legend, he is the best out there. He is the defining will of this game and should be understood as the king. Faker makes his own luck and thats something that few can appreciate. Though I appreciate it.

Let's be real here. You don't get 3-0'ed and still be considered good. You're acting as if it was a close series. It wasn't 3-2. It wasn't even 3-1. Outdrafted, Out Marco'ed, Out skilled, Out sportsmanshipped. (They didn't brag/trash talk, nor did they cry after their match)

Not everyone wanted SKT to lose. Also, a general consensus seems to be that while people are glad there’s a new Champion, Faker seemed so devastated that it still moved some when they saw him.

They're not sad because SKT lost. They're sad because of Faker's sadness due to how amazing his play was and it not being enough. I don't understand why people are saying Faker was overrated because he lost 1 final out of the 4 he participated in.

It's actually pretty sad (not crying sad, but sad sad) that Faker would do that after the finals game. it shows he as no respect for opponents and thinks he has to win every time he plays, proof? when misfits got their first win off of SKT, you could just see Faker was triggered already (and every game he lost after that). they then started to get worse after that (almost losing in their next match up) and i wonder why.

I never said they didn't. His team (and anyone who plays with him, really) has the misfortune of being engulfed in his shadow. But Faker is considered [one of] the best in the world for a reason.

By all appearances, Faker benefits his team more than the team benefits him. Hence my usage of the term "carried." That doesn't mean his team is/has an anchor, just that he carries a disproportionate load.

And who knows; maybe that's just how their play style works out to be most effective.
