Now that I think about it a bit, I think she should have a purple crown on her forehead and maybe give it larger eyebrows for her glorious design. Other than that it's pretty good.

The execution on this piece is amazing. You nailed Riot’s style and even made in-game assets!

Sadly, I have the same complaints about the style and theme of this fan Taliyah splash as I did about the last one (https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/pnYBVUcA-warring-kingdom-kind-of-inspired-taliyah-skin-conceppt?comment=000d). Let us start with fanservice. Taliyah is not supposed to have any, or barely any, if you count her leggings as such. It’s not just that she’s 16. She would just never dress or act like that. It’s out of character for her, both in-universe and as the poster child of Riot’s commitment to design female champions that are not, as they put it, “Syndra, but in a different cosplay”.

So, please give Taliyah her big eyebrows and boyish figure back because they are essential to her design. Moreover, consider that Taliyah’s outfit is symbolic. Its has two layers: a Shuriman shirt and leggings from her youth in a nomadic desert tribe and an Ionian tunic bought during her training with Yasuo. It represents the layers of the identity she developed on her journey. She also wears a mantle of stone, representing the burden of her powers. Her femininity, appearing in her stone bracelets and a Shuriman tiara, is part of her character rather than defining it.

Also remember that she is a roaming mage. She needs thick clothes to protect her from cold, wind, weather, and weaving debris. Her boots should be simple and tough for the journey ahead. The Shuriman outfit is lighter and thinner because she needs to survive the heat; the Freljord outfit is bulky to keep out the frigid northern chill. Make sure that her skirt goes all the way around her hips to protect them from falls and, again, weaving debris.

Lastly, remember art direction. Taliyah is almost tomboy-ishly brave and fast, and these attributes are best shown when she surfs. The original skin is just her surfing. The Freljord skin shows her laughing and cradling a baby deer while surfing. Try to build your splash around her riding her elemental surf-board. The rest, like how her back is impossibly twisted in your splash. should work itself out surprisingly well.

It's fine to exaggerate features in art. Otherwise you're just making classical realism paintings and that's just boring. Dynamic poses look much more exciting and give movement to the painting.

you are a funny one, you can draw dynamic poses and still get your anatomy right. anatomy is hard tho, if you never went to a proper school to draw actual models on a weekly basis, you are unlikely to get it right. then you have those who make bad drawings on purpose in favour of something else, usually sexualisation with the infamous boobs and butt pose also known as the brokeback pose, like in the OP art.

I don't think you understood my post. Slight exaggeration of a real pose is fine. Have you ever done gesture drawing? Look up Glenn Vilppu gesture drawings. The POINT is to exaggerate poses. It doesn't look bad in the OP, they did a good job of giving the painting movement. Unless you're being nitpicky about it you shouldn't care. And of course you should study your fundamentals. I know this, I've been to life drawing classes. By the way, OP pose is possible if you're flexible and fit, try it out. Also there's nothing wrong with sexualisation, and the OP isn't even very sexualised by league standards.

wth am I reading. taliyah back and torso/ abdomen is like 10 feet long and twisted in half in that drawing, it's really jarring, you are describing a monster, a snake with a human head and legs LOL.

You have nothing better to comment than rude remarks mocking the op's drawing ability, for what? I imagine you cannot draw very well yourself or you wouldn't feel the need to bring someone else's artwork down. And like I said, and keep saying, pose exaggeration is fine, she doesn't look like a lizard. If you look at ANY game art collections, you will see exaggerated poses. It looks good, it gives flow and life to the drawing.

I really enjoy this skin. But I have too admit it doesn't look too much like Taliyah. Her face just isn't appropriate. She doesn't have freckle, and her eyes, nose and lips are not the same either.

Of course I understand you're also not a professional and I think it's a great job so far.
