New Sword of the Occult Idea.

Sword of the Occult Price: 1600 Gold

+25 AD +5% Movement Speed

Unique Passive: Grants +5 Lethality per stack. Grants one stack per kill (Maximum Stacks: 5 and no stacks for assists). 5 stacks are lost upon death. At 5 stacks, this item's AD becomes triple its original AD.

Recipe: 2 Long Swords (700 Gold) + 900 gold

At 5 stacks: +75 AD +25 Lethality

I reworked this item into an assassin item. I know that there're already a lot of lethality items in the game and a lot of players are annoyed by it so before you judge this, please pretend that there is one less lethality item.

If there weren't quite a few lethality items already, I'd say it sounds pretty good! On its own without taking other items into consideration, it seems good.

Sorry, just some suggestions (if you don't want any, I'm sorry just ignore this ): Perhaps make the stack loss less punishing? Perhaps increase the maximum stack amount or making the stack loss roughly 33 or 50% or thereabouts. Poachers Dirk also has built in lethality, maybe that instead of long swords?

Like the concept though, +1!

Thanks for the compliment and upvote. I do appreciate suggestions. Snowball items are supposed to start out as gold inefficient then super gold efficient at max stacks because they're supposed to be a risky purchase. If you do the calculations, this item without stacks would be about gold efficient. I made the stack loss so punishing in an attempt to balance it out. Also assassins already snowball pretty hard. It would be unfun if an assassin was finally shutdown but still killes with next to no counterplay. I can't increase the cost either because snowball items are also supposed to be cheap enough to be purchasable early game so you can get stacks starting early in the game. I considered poacher's dirk but it would be weird since it would build into an item without the out of combat movement speed.

Hmm you make good points, and ultimately this concept is yours so the final call is yours. Just an example to consider when making a snowballing item, Dark Seal is a minor version to Mejias Soulstealer, offering the option to pay more gold for a greater risk/reward. Either way, the stack loss was not total on death though: 4/10 stacks on DS, and 10/25 stacks on MS. No one likes a fed mage anymore than they like a fed assassin, so perhaps take the style of Dark Seal and Mejia Soulstealer when designing the new Sword of the Occult

Like a dark seal version for sword of the occult? Sure I'll try that instead of 2 long swords. Good idea.

I'm pretty sure this would be too busted to put in the game by this point. 35 extra lethality in one item. No one would be safe. The AD I say is fine though.

I'll change it back to 2 per stack.
