InvertedComposer's Item Optimizer down for updates? Or for good?
(EDIT: The site is back up, but I still can't get it to find me in-game.)
I don't think I'm the only one who noticed Brofresco's video about a "mathematically perfect build" on my YouTube feed about a week ago. I went to the video, watched a bit, and followed the link to League of Legends Item Optimizer, a third-party program by InvertedComposer. I downloaded (and am currently using) the secondary program from the site that gives several optimized builds for each champ for every possible role, and I experimented a bit with the site's main browser-based program to see what good late-game item swaps and upgrades are for a few of my favorite champs.
However, the program could not find me in game. It gave me an error message reading, "Invalid Summoner name." I ignored that and played using the above-mentioned build sets without the custom tailoring for each specific game. I believed that, since the site was recently made popular, the creator would fix this error soon enough.
Fast-forward to today, when I checked again. The entire site seems to be down - 403 error, which could mean one of three things. One, InvertedComposer is currently applying an update. Two, I got a bad cookie from somewhere. Three, the site was deemed against the rules of League of Legends (or pushed the line too much and stepped on too many toes) and taken down/blocked by Riot. A quick check on my cell phone internet browser ruled out option number two.
Here's hoping the site is only down for maintenance. If it actually is down for good, I'd like to ask a Rioter exactly why, since I remember reading a few rules listed on the site explaining its legality in regards to Riot Games.
